2. A licence issued pursuant to this notification to hunt
or kill game shall entitle the holder thereof to hunt or kill
game in the South Canterbury and Waitaki Valley Acclimatisa-
tion Districts, during the period and subject, mutatis mutandis,
to the conditions prescribed in this notification fixing an
open season for game in those districts.

Special Conditions

  1. A licence issued pursuant to this notification shall entitle
    the holder thereof to hunt or kill game on that portion of
    the bank and bed of the Conway River which lies within
    the North Canterbury Acclimatisation District during the
    period and subject, mutatis mutandis, to the conditions
    prescribed in this notification fixing an open season in that
    district.
  2. No person shall, for the purpose of hunting or killing
    game, use any fixed stand, pontoon, hide, maimai, or loo
    on the waters of the Vernon or Wairau Lagoons which lie
    generally between the mouth of the Wairau River, south
    to the Vernon Run, and west to the eastern boundary of
    Swansdown.

Special Conditions

  1. No hut, mudhole, stand, hide, shelter, maimai, boat,
    louvre, or cylinder or other contrivance shall be used for
    the hunting or killing of game in any part of Lake Ellesmere
    in which the water is of a greater depth than 60 cm, excepting
    such areas as may be decided upon by the North Canterbury
    Acclimatisation Society.
    Provided that nothing in these special conditions shall pre-
    vent any person using any vessel for the purpose of retrieving
    game that has been killed or wounded.
  2. A licence issued, pursuant to this notification to hunt
    or kill game, shall entitle the holder thereof to hunt or
    kill game on that portion of the bank and bed of the Rakaia
    River which lies within the Ashburton Acclimatisation District,
    and on that portion of the bank and bed of the Conway
    River which lies within the Marlborough Acclimatisation
    District, during the period and subject, mutatis mutandis, to
    the conditions prescribed in this notification fixing an open
    season for game in those districts respectively.
