Amendment to Tongariro National Park Bylaws
PURSUANT to the National Parks Act 1952, a resolution has been passed by the Tongariro National Park Board, resolving that Bylaw No. 41 (1) of the bylaws made in respect of the park be revoked and in substitution a new bylaw No. 41 (1) be adopted as set out in the First Schedule hereto; and further the board has resolved that a further new bylaw No. 20A be adopted as set out in the Second Schedule hereto; and such resolutions have been approved by the National Parks Authority.
It is therefore declared that the said bylaws have been amended accordingly.
FIRST SCHEDULE
41 (1) SPECIFIC DEPARTURES
NOTWITHSTANDING the provisions of any of the preceding bylaws, the board may in writing on such terms and conditions as it thinks fit, waive compliance with, or grant a specific departure from any bylaw in Part II of these bylaws.
SECOND SCHEDULE
20A GENERAL
No licensee shall operate a lift or tow:
(a) Unless the lift or tow is fitted with the safety devices or guards as prescribed by these bylaws.
(b) Unless such safety devices or guards are fitted to the lift or tow before it is operated.
(c) Except under the conditions of operation prescribed by these bylaws.
(d) Unless the lift or tow is maintained and repaired as required by these bylaws.
(e) Unless the safety switches and/or other stop devices or systems as required by these bylaws are fitted to the lift or tow.

Local Authorities Loans Act 1956—General Variation of Conditions of Borrowing
PURSUANT to section 9 (4A) of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956 (as inserted by section 4 (3) of the Local Authorities Loans Amendment Act 1967), notice is hereby given that the Local Authorities Loans Board, acting with the approval of the Minister of Finance, has determined as follows:
- This general determination shall apply to all money which any local authority has received the sanction of the board, given before the date of this notice, to borrow by way of special loan, except:
(a) Money borrowed before the 19th day of February 1976 (which day is hereinafter referred to as “that date”);
and
(b) Money borrowed on or after that date for the purposes of completing work already under construction, carrying out work under any contract let, or discharging any legal liability incurred in each case before that date; and
(c) Money borrowed after that date for the purpose of making any payment due in respect of any work or undertaking for which the specific approval of the Board has been obtained under clause 2 of this general determination or the corresponding provision of any previous general determination.

No money to which this general determination applies shall be borrowed before the 30th day of September 1977 unless specific approval for such borrowing is first obtained from the board.

All sanctions to which this general determination applies shall be varied accordingly.

The general determination of the board published in the Gazette, on the 20th day of May 1976, at page 1135, is hereby consequentially cancelled.

Consenting to Raising of Loans by Certain Local Authorities
PURSUANT to the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, the undersigned Assistant Secretary to the Treasury, acting under powers delegated to the Secretary to the Treasury by the Minister of Finance, hereby consents to the borrowing by the local authorities, mentioned in the Schedule hereto, of the whole or any part of the respective amounts specified in that Schedule.

Amendment to Fiordland National Park Bylaws
PURSUANT to the National Parks Act 1952, a resolution has been passed by the Fiordland National Park Board, resolving that Bylaw No. 7 of the bylaws made in respect of the park be amended to include the bylaw set out in the Schedule hereto; and such resolution has been approved by the National Parks Authority.
The said bylaws are therefore declared to have been amended accordingly.
SCHEDULE
7 ANIMALS
No person shall without the consent of a park ranger fish for, pursue, catch, take, or kill any eel within the boundaries of the park by any means or device whatever.
