Alterations to the Scales of Charges upon the New Zealand Government Railways

AMENDMENT No. 7

GENERAL SCALE OF CHARGES

PURSUANT to the Government Railways Act 1949, the Minister of Railways hereby makes the following alterations to the general scale of charges, published in the supplement, dated the 3rd day of December 1973, to the New Zealand Gazette on the 29th day of November 1973, and hereby declares that such alterations shall come into force on the 13th day of December 1976.

  1. Ten-trip Concession Tickets—Paragraph 2 of section 24 is hereby revoked and the following new paragraph is substituted therefor:

Ten-trip concession tickets will be transferable and will, subject as is hereinafter provided, have unlimited availability. Except where break of journey is necessitated by the train services, ten-trip concession tickets will not be available for break of journey. Such ten-trip tickets bearing an endorsement restricting the availability for use up to and including the date endorsed thereon will be available for use up to and including that date only.

LOCAL FARES AND CONDITIONS

  1. Local Fares: Suburban Areas—Paragraph 3 (a) of section 39 is hereby revoked and the following new paragraph is substituted therefor:

Suburban ten-trip tickets will be transferable and will have unlimited availability, except that those ten-trip concession tickets bearing an endorsement restricting the availability for use up to and including the date endorsed thereon will be available for use up to and including that date only.
