NOTICE OF INTENTION TO PROMOTE A PRIVATE BILL
THE METHODIST CHARITABLE AND EDUCATIONAL TRUSTS AMENDMENT ACT 1976

NOTICE is hereby given by the Board of the Wesley Training College that it intends to apply forthwith for leave to bring in a Private Bill under the short title of the Methodist Charitable and Educational Trusts Amendment Act 1976. The objects of such bill are as follows:

  1. To change the name of the Board of the Wesley Training College to Wesley College Trust Board.

  2. To extend the board’s powers of investment.

  3. To amend the Methodist Charitable and Educational Trusts Act 1911 to facilitate the board’s entering into an integration agreement with the Minister of Education, pursuant to the Private Schools Conditional Integration Act 1975.

The promoter of the bill is the Board of the Wesley Training College and communications or notices may be sent to the board at its office at Ground Floor, Shell House, corner of Albert and Wyndham Streets, Auckland.

A copy of the bill may be inspected at that address or at the offices of Messrs Simpson, Coates & Clapshaw, 450 Queen Street, Auckland.
