PURSUANT to the Agricultural Pests Destruction Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

This order may be cited as the Mount Wendon Pest Destruction Order 1976.

The boundaries of the Mount Wendon Pest Destruction District which was constituted by Order in Council on the 18th day of March 1974*, are hereby redefined and, as from the commencement of this order, the boundaries of the said district shall be those specified in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF MOUNT WENDON PEST DESTRUCTION DISTRICT
ALL that area in the counties of Southland, Clutha, and Tuapeka; Southland and Otago Land Districts, containing an estimated area of 448 264 hectares, more or less, inclusive of roads, railways, and streams, bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the new channels of the Hedgehope Stream and Makarewa River, constructed by the Southland Catchment Board in 1966 and 1967, and proceeding in a generally north-easterly direction along the left bank of the new course of the Makarewa River to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 193, Block V, Forest Hill Hundred; thence generally easterly across a public road and along the southern boundaries of Sections 193 and 194, Block V, Forest Hill Hundred, to the northernmost corner of Section 323, Block V, aforesaid; thence south-westerly and south-easterly along the north-western and south-western boundaries of the said Section 323 to the north-western side of a public road forming the south-eastern boundaries of the said Section 323; thence north-easterly along the north-western side of the said public road to the south-western corner of Block IX, Forest Hill Hundred; thence generally easterly and northerly along the southern and eastern boundaries of Block IX, aforesaid, to the southern boundary of Section 133, Block X, Forest Hill Hundred; thence easterly along the southern boundary of Section 133, Block X, aforesaid to the south-eastern corner thereof; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Section 133, Block X, aforesaid, and that boundary, produced to the northern boundary of Block X, aforesaid; thence westerly along the northern boundary of Block X, aforesaid, to the eastern boundary of Section 429, Block XI, Forest Hill Hundred; thence northerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 429, 428, 427, 426, 425, and 421, Block XI, aforesaid, to the eastern side of a public road forming the eastern boundary of Section 422, Block XI, aforesaid; thence generally northerly along the eastern side of the said public road to the eastern boundary of Section 419, Block XI, aforesaid; thence northerly along the eastern boundaries of Sections 419 and 465, Block XI, aforesaid, Section 460, Block XVII, Forest Hill Hundred, across a public road and again northerly along the eastern boundary of Section 455, Block XVII, aforesaid, to the southern boundary of the Hokonui Survey District; thence easterly along the southern boundary of the Hokonui Survey District; thence easterly along the southern boundary of the Hokonui Survey District to the eastern boundary of Block LXIII, Hokonui Survey District; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of Block LXIII, aforesaid, to the southern boundary of Section 1004, Block XLVII, Hokonui Survey District; thence easterly along the southern boundaries of Sections 1004 and 448, Block XLVII, aforesaid, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the right bank of the Otamita Stream; thence northerly and westerly along the right bank of the Otamita Stream to the eastern boundary of Run 550, Block
XLVI, Hokonui Survey District; thence generally north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of the said Run 550 to the south-eastern corner of Section 985, Block XXXVIII, Hokonui Survey District; thence north-westerly along the south-western boundaries of the said Section 985 and the south-western boundaries of Part Sections 1058 and 971, Block XXVI, Hokonui Survey District, to the south-western corner of part Section 971, aforesaid; thence northerly along the western boundary of the said part Section 971 to a point in line with the southern boundary of Section 484, Block XXXV, Hokonui Survey District; thence westerly, northerly, and north-westerly along the southern, western, and south-western boundaries of the said Section 484 to the north-western side of a public road passing through the said section; thence north-easterly along the north-western side of the said public road to the western side of Ben Callum Road; thence northerly along that western road side and its production to the northern side of the Dipton-Balfour Road; thence generally easterly along that roadside to the southern boundary of part Section 894, Block XXVI, Hokonui Survey District; thence south-easterly along the production of the last-mentioned boundary to the southern side of the Dipton-Balfour Road; thence generally north-easterly along the southern side of the said Dipton-Balfour Road, the Balfour-Ardlussa Road, and Keowns Bridge Road to the right bank of the Mataura River; thence generally northerly along the right bank of the Mataura River to a point in line with the southern boundary of Nokomai Survey District; thence easterly to and along that boundary to East Dome Trig; thence generally north-easterly along the south-eastern boundary of Nokomai Survey District to its intersection with the northern boundary of Block III, Garvie Survey District; thence easterly along that boundary to its intersection with the north-western boundary of Run 626; thence generally north-easterly along the north-western boundaries of Run 626 to the northernmost corner of that run; thence generally south-easterly along the south-western boundaries of Parts Run 339F, part Run 249A, and Run 425B to the northernmost corner of Run 758; thence generally southerly along the Otago Land District boundary, as described in the New Zealand Gazette, 1955, p. 676, and the middle of the Pomohaka River to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Run 696; thence generally south-easterly to and along the south-western boundary of that run and Section 4, Block I, Wart Hill Survey District, and its production to the eastern side of the Heriot-Roxburgh via Moa Flat Road; thence southerly along the eastern side of that road to its intersection with the northern side of Moa Flat School Road in Block VI, Benger Survey District; thence generally easterly and south-easterly along the northern and north-eastern sides of that road to the north-western corner of Lot 9, D.P. 1924; thence generally easterly and south-easterly along the northern boundary of that lot and the northern and north-eastern boundaries of Lot 8, D.P. 1924, to the easternmost corner of the last-mentioned lot; thence generally south-easterly, along the south-western boundaries of part Lot 6, D.P. 1864, and Sections 9 and 10, Block XVII, Crookston Survey District, to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Section 11, Block XVII, aforesaid; thence south-westerly to and along the western boundary of that section, and the western boundaries of Sections 23 and 12, and westerly along the northern boundaries of Section 13, to the north-western corner of the said Section 13; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of Section 14 and Block XIII to the north-western corner of Section 11, Block XVI; thence easterly, southerly, and generally westerly along the northern, eastern, and southern boundaries of that section to the south-western corner of the said Section 11; thence southerly to and along the western boundary of Run 708 to the northern side of an unnamed road; thence north-easterly for a distance of 80 metres to the north-western side of an unsurveyed road passing through Run 708, aforesaid and State forest; thence generally north-easterly along the north-western side of that road to the eastern boundary of Block XIX, Crookston Survey District; thence southerly along that boundary and westerly along the southern boundary of that block for a distance of 1600 metres; thence south-westerly along a right line to Trig Station U; thence south-westerly again along a right line to the south-eastern corner of Block X, Crookston Survey District; thence westerly along the southern boundary of the said Block X to the north-eastern corner of Block IX, Rankleburn Survey District; thence southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of the said Block IX, to the north-eastern corner of Block X; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of that Block X, to the middle of the Rankleburn; thence generally southerly along the middle of the Rankleburn and its production to the right bank of the Pomohaka River; thence generally south-westerly along the right bank of that river to and across the Waipahi River to its left (west) bank;
