Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 30) 1975

PURSUANT TO regulation 17 of the Import Control Regulations 1973*, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives notice as follows:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 30) 1975.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the day after the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. Goods of the classes specified and for the purposes of the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff items in the First Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

  3. The exemptions from the requirement of a licence under the said regulations in respect of the goods of the classes set forth in the Second Schedule hereto, included in the exempting notice shown in the Second Schedule, are hereby withdrawn.

FIRST SCHEDULE
EXEMPTIONS CREATED

Classes of Goods

Goods (other than motor vehicles), whether dutiable or not, which do not qualify for admission under Ref. 27.1 of Part II of the Customs Tariff, imported as part of his baggage by a passenger arriving in New Zealand, the total assessed C.D.V. of which does not exceed 150 dollars and which are imported for the personal use of the importer and not for purposes of sale, business, or for use in the trade, calling or profession of the importer, or on behalf of any other person or persons.

SECOND SCHEDULE
EXEMPTIONS WITHDRAWN

Classes of Goods

Goods (other than motor vehicles), whether dutiable or not, which do not qualify for admission under Ref. 27.1 of Part II of the Customs Tariff, imported as part of his baggage by a person arriving in New Zealand, the total assessed C.D.V. of which does not exceed 150 dollars and which are imported for the personal use of the importer and not for purposes of sale, business, or for use in the trade, calling or profession of the importer, or on behalf of any other person or persons.

PURSUANT to section 12 of the Food and Drug Act 1969, the Minister of Health hereby consents to the distribution in New Zealand of the new therapeutic drugs set out in the Schedule hereto.

Price Order No. 8 (Wheat from the 1976 Harvest Grown in New Zealand)

PURSUANT to the Commerce Act 1975, I, Maurice John Belgrave, pursuant to a delegation from the Secretary of Trade and Industry, hereby make the following price order:

PRELIMINARY

  1. This order may be cited as Price Order No. 8 and shall come into force on the 8th day of January 1976.
  2. Price Order No. 2303* is hereby revoked.
  3. In this order:
    (i) The expression “f.o.r.” means free on rail at the grower’s nearest railway station.
    (ii) The expression “1976 harvest” means the months of December 1975 to November 1976 inclusive.
  4. The several prices fixed by this order apply with respect to sales by auction as well as to other sales.
  5. Where any wheat to which this order applies is sold on the basis of sacks extra the maximum prices that may be charged or received for the wheat shall be computed on the weight of the wheat without the sacks.
  6. Where any wheat to which this order applies is sold on the basis of sacks included the maximum price that may be charged or received for the wheat shall be computed on the total weight of the wheat and the sacks.
