PURSUANT to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Works and Development hereby declares the
land described in the Schedule hereto to be set apart for post
office purposes (microwave station) from and after the 2nd
day of October 1975.

Declaring a Leasehold Estate in Land Taken for Post Office
Purposes (Microwave Station) in Block II, Nuhaka North
Survey District, Cook County

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the
Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, a
sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into,
the leasehold estate in the land described in the Schedule
hereto, held from Her Majesty the Queen by Russell Benjamin
Shanks, of Waingake, farmer, under and by virtue of lease
in perpetuity No. 398, recorded in the Land Registry Office
at Gisborne as 5L/134, is hereby taken for post office purposes
(microwave station) from and after the 2nd day of October
1975.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block VI, Awaateatua
Survey District, Whakatane County, for Road

NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the pro-
visions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for road the
land described in the Schedule hereto such land to be used
for widening an existing road. And notice is hereby further
given that the plan of the land so required to be taken is
deposited in the post office at Matata and is there open for
inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking
of the said land should, if they have any objection to the
taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount
or payment of compensation, make a written objection and
send it within 40 days after the first publication of this
notice, to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at
Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance
with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be
held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each ob-
jector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 72 square metres situated in
Block VI, Awaateatua Survey District, being part Allotment
4, Town of Richmond; as shown on plan S.O. 47512 lodged
in the office of the Chief Surveyor at Hamilton and thereon
marked “B”. The said piece of land is situated in Arawa
Street in the Township of Matata near the junction with
St. John Street, and forms part of the Pokeno-Wellington
via Gisborne State Highway No. 2.
