Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Relinquishments, Cancellations, Transfers, and Resignations of Officers in the New Zealand Cadet Forces
Pursuant to section 59 of the Defence Act 1971, the Minister of Defence hereby approves the following appointments, promotions, extensions, relinquishments, cancellations, transfers, and resignations of officers of the New Zealand Cadet Forces.
SEA CADET CORPS
APPOINTMENTS
John Gall is appointed to a commission in the rank of Lieutenant with seniority dated 9 March 1973, for a period of 3 years with effect from 18 May 1975.
Neil Wallace Smith is appointed to a commission in the rank of Ensign on probation for a period of 3 years with effect from 9 June 1975.
George Norman Brunson is appointed to a commission in the rank of Lieutenant on probation for a period of 3 years with effect from 20 June 1975.
Promotions
Ensign M. K. Martin: the notice published in the Gazette, 19 June 1975, No. 51, page 1335 is cancelled and the following substituted:
"Ensign M. K. Martin to be Sub Lieutenant with effect from 29 April 1975."
Sub Lieutenant H. F. Bradley to be Lieutenant with effect from 27 July 1975.
Transfer to Supernumerary List
Sub Lieutenant Robert Keith Shaw is transferred to the Supernumerary List for 1 year with effect from 31 March 1975.
Resignations
Sub Lieutenant George William Oldfield resigns his commission with effect from 12 June 1975.
Lieutenant Warwick Hamilton Thomson resigns his commission with effect from 1 September 1975.
AIR TRAINING CORPS
Appointments
Flying Officer Ernest James Thompson. With reference to the notice published in the Gazette, No. 62, page 1613, dated 24 July 1975 is cancelled and the following substituted:
"Ernest James Thompson is appointed to a commission in the rank of Flying Officer for a period of 3 years, with effect from 10 April 1975 with seniority dated 22 April 1972."
Russell Eric Auld is appointed to a commission in the rank of Pilot Officer on probation for a period of 3 years with effect from 10 July 1975.
Promotions
Flying Officer N. D. Mouat. With reference to the notice published in the Gazette, No. 35, page 917, dated 23 April 1975 is cancelled and the following substituted:
"Flying Officer N. D. Mouat to be Flight Lieutenant with effect from 4 February 1975."
Pilot Officer N. A. Calder to be Flying Officer with effect from 10 February 1975.
Pilot Officer B. J. Moffett to be Flying Officer with effect from 10 August 1975.
Pilot Officer W. A. Donnell to be Flying Officer with effect from 16 August 1975.
Temporary Flight Lieutenant M. R. Campbell to be Flight Lieutenant with effect from 22 August 1975.
Extensions
Flying Officer P. M. Vaughan is granted an extension of his commission until 3 May 1978.
Flight Lieutenant S. W. McKenzie is granted an extension of his commission until 21 August 1976.
Pilot Officer R. R. L. Harrison to be Flying Officer with effect from 26 August 1975.
Transfer
Pilot Officer Evan Wallis Plank is transferred from No. 20 ATC Sqn to No. 19 ATC Sqn with effect from 10 June 1975.
Flying Officer Alan William Bartlett is transferred from No. 21 ATC Sqn to No. 22 ATC Sqn with effect from 25 July 1975.
Transfer to Supernumerary List
Pilot Officer Donald Keith Irvine is transferred to the Supernumerary List for 1 year with effect from 27 May 1975.
Flight Lieutenant Peter Childerhouse is transferred to the Supernumerary List for 1 year with effect from 18 June 1975.
Pilot Officer John Hagen Jenson is transferred to the Supernumerary List for 1 year with effect from 2 July 1975.
Pilot Officer Bruce Lindsay Drake is transferred to the Supernumerary List for 1 year with effect from 30 July 1975.
Resignation
Flying Officer Rodney George Trott resigns his commission with effect from 7 July 1975.
SCHOOL CADET CORPS
Appointment
Russell William Stocks is appointed to a commission in the rank of 2nd Lieutenant on probation for a period of 3 years with effect from 12 July 1975.
Resignation
Captain John Stewart Taylor. With reference to the notice published in the Gazette, No. 62, dated 24 July 1975, page 1613, is cancelled and the following submitted:
"Captain John Stewart Taylor resigns his commission with effect from 23 May 1974."

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Austria
His Excellency the Governor-General by his Deputy directs it to be notified that

presented his Letter of Credence as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Austria to New Zealand at Government House on Wednesday, 20 August 1975.

Appointment of a Member of the Timber Preservation Authority
Pursuant to section 3 of the Timber Preservation Regulations 1955, the Minister of Forests hereby re-appoints on the nomination of the New Zealand Institute of Architects Malcolm Scott Miller to be a member of the Timber Preservation Authority with effect from the 19th day of November 1975.

Appointment of Temporary Judge of the Supreme Court
His Excellency the Governor-General in Council in the name of and on behalf of Her Majesty the Queen has been pleased to appoint
The Honourable Sir Trevor Ernest Henry retired Judge of the Supreme Court, of Auckland, to be a temporary Judge of the Supreme Court of New Zealand on and from the 19th day of June 1975.
