OPOTIKI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

NOTICE is hereby given that the Opotiki County Council
proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act
1928 and the Counties Act 1956, to take the land described
in the Schedule hereto for a road. The plan showing the
land proposed to be taken is available for public inspection
at the office of the Council, Elliott Street, Opotiki.
Any persons having any objections to the proposed taking,
not being objections to the amount or payment of compensation,
should lodge their objections in writing with the
Secretary, Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, P.O.
Box 12-244, Wellington North, within 40 days of the first
publication of this notice. If any such objections are made
as aforesaid, a public hearing of the objections will be held
unless the objectors otherwise require and each objector
will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

FRANKLIN COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, public notice
is hereby given that the Franklin County Council proposes
under the provisions of section 22 of the Public Works
Act 1928 to execute a public work, namely, the construction
of a road and divert a stream, and for the purposes of
that public work the land described in the First Schedule
hereto is required to be taken for a road and the land
described in the Second Schedule hereto is required to be
taken for stream diversion and the land described in the
Third Schedule hereto is required to be taken for better
utilisation of this said land, being land severed by the stream
diversion, and is to be transferred to the adjoining owners
who have land contiguous with the said work.

Notice is hereby further given that copy of the plan
showing the land so required to be taken is deposited at
the office of the Franklin County Council, Roulston Street,
Pukekohe, and there open for inspection; all persons affected
by the execution of the said public work or by the taking of
the said land should if they have any objections to the execution
of the said public work or to the taking of the said
land, not being objections to the amount of payment of
compensation, set forth the same in writing and send written
objection within forty (40) days of the first publication of
this notice to the office of the Council and if any objection
is made in accordance with this notice a public hearing

of the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise
requires, and each objector will be advised of the time of
the hearing.

THE CHARITABLE TRUSTS ACT 1957

THE SARGOOD CHARITABLE TRUSTS

NOTICE is hereby given that an application to the Supreme
Court at Dunedin has been made by the Trustees of the
Sargood Trust (created by the late Sir Percy Sargood on
the 19th day of December 1939) and of the Sargood Bequest
(created by the Will of the late Sir Percy Sargood) for
approval of a scheme prepared pursuant to section 34 of
the Charitable Trusts Act 1957.

The scheme does not change the charitable objects for
which the trusts were established but provides for the
amalgamation of the two trusts and the appointment of
investment trustees. It contains a statement of the powers
of the bequest trustees and the investment trustees and
extends the powers of investment of the trust funds.

The application was filed on the 28th day of August 1975
and the proposed date for hearing the application is the
10th day of October 1975.

Any person desiring to oppose the scheme is required to
give written notice of his intention to do so to the Registrar
of the Supreme Court at Dunedin, to the trustees at the
address of the undersigned and to the Attorney-General not
less than 7 clear days before that date.
