Declaring Land and Leasehold Estate in Land Taken for River Control Purposes in Blocks I, IV, VII and VIII, Toetoes Survey District and Block XIV, Oteramika Survey District

PURSUANT to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares that, sufficient agreements to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for river control purposes and shall vest in the Southland Catchment Board from and after the 30th day of January 1975 and the land first described in the Second Schedule hereto saving and excepting all minerals, mineral oils, gas, metals, coal, and valuable stone under the surface of the land and reserving always a right of ingress, egress, and regress to Her Majesty the Queen and to all persons lawfully engaged in working any such mineral, mineral oils, gas, metals, coal, or stone and the land secondly and thirdly described in the said Second Schedule subject to the reservations and conditions imposed by section 59 of the Land Act 1948, is hereby taken for river control purposes and shall vest in the Southland Catchment Board from and after the 30th day of January 1975, and the leasehold estate in the land described in the Third Schedule hereto held from Her Majesty the Queen by Annabella Stirling of Fortrose, widow, under and by virtue of renewable lease No. R.L.F. 286, recorded in register book, Volume 193, folio 24, Southland Land Registry, is hereby taken for river control purposes and shall vest in the Southland Catchment Board from and after the 30th day of January 1975.
