Appointment and Revocation of Appointment of Honorary
Deputy Harbourmaster
Pursuant to section 7 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Grant
Stewart Ellis Milne of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise
of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport hereby
appoint
Raymond John Slater
to be honorary deputy harbourmaster for Doubtful Sound
Harbour and hereby revoke the appointment of
Michael John Gardiner
as honorary deputy harbourmaster for Doubtful Sound
Harbour.

Notice of Intention to Take Land in Block IX, Rangitaiki
Upper Survey District, Kawerau Borough and Whakatane
County for the Generation of Electricity
NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take for the generation of electricity, the land described in the Schedule hereto
such land to be used for extensions to Kawerau Substation;
and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the
land so required to be taken is deposited in the post office
at Kawerau, and is there open for inspection; that all persons
directly affected by the taking of the said land should, if
they have any objection to the taking of the said land, not
being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days
after the first publication of this notice, to the Town and
Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that, if
any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public
hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector
otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of
the time and place of the hearing.
SCHEDULE
SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing approximately 2.3512 hectares
situated in Block IX, Rangitaiki Upper Survey District, being
part Lot 59Y, Matata Parish; as shown on plan M.O.W.
28335 deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and
Development at Wellington and thereon edged red. The said
land is situated in Fentons Mill road adjoining the existing
substation on the north-eastern side.
