SECOND SCHEDULE
BOUNDARIES OF THE PROPOSED MANIOTOTO IRRIGATION DISTRICT
ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Maniototo County,
containing 25,000 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line
commencing at the intersection of the south-western side of
the Otago Central Railway and the northern boundary of
Town of Komako (Waipiata) and proceeding westerly along
the northern boundaries of that town and southerly along
the eastern boundary of Section 5, Block XI, Maniototo
Survey District, to the north-eastern side of Gimmerburn-
Waipiata Road; thence south-easterly along the north-eastern
side of that road and its production to the south-eastern side
of Waipiata Patearoa Road; thence generally south-westerly
along the south-eastern side of that road to a point in line
with the southern side of O'Neill Road; thence generally
westerly to and along the southern side of that road to the
north-western corner of Section 13, Block XIV; thence south-
erly along the western boundary of that section and the
production to the southern side of Waipiata Patearoa Road;
thence generally south-westerly along the south-eastern side
of that road to its intersection with the southern side of Greer
Road; thence westerly along the southern side of that road
to the north-western corner of Section 17, Block IV, Upper
Taieri Survey District; thence southerly, westerly, and south-
erly again along the western, northern, and western boundaries
of that section and Section 16 and the production of the
last-mentioned boundary to the south-eastern side of Waipiata
Patearoa Road; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern
side of that road to a point in line with the southern bound-
ary of Section 17, Block I; thence westerly to and along the
southern boundary of that section to the south-western corner
of Section 17; thence westerly along a right line to the north-
eastern corner of Section 18; thence westerly and south-easterly
along the northern and north-western boundaries of that sec-
tion to the north-eastern corner of Section 80; thence westerly
along the northern boundaries of that section and part Section
61, to the north-eastern corner of that part section; thence
north-westerly along a right line to the north-eastern corner
of Section 70; thence westerly and south-easterly along the
northern boundary of Section 70 and the northern and south-
western boundaries of Section 60 to the south-eastern bound-
ary of Section 31; thence south-westerly along the south-eastern
boundary of that section and its production to and along the
north-western boundary of Section 32 to its westernmost
corner; thence generally southerly, westerly, and southerly
again, along the generally eastern boundary of Section 77
and the eastern and southern boundaries of Section 71 and
the western boundaries of Sections 72 and 73 to the northern
boundary of Block VII, Upper Taieri Survey District; thence
generally westerly along the northern boundary of that block to
the north-eastern corner of Section 38; thence southerly along
the eastern boundary of that section and its production to the
southern side of Waipiata Patearoa Road; thence generally
westerly along the southern side of that road to a point
in line with the western boundary of Section 24; thence due
south to the right bank of the Taieri River; thence generally
north-westerly along that bank to a point due east of the
southern boundary of Section 9, Block XII, Upper Taieri
Survey District; thence due west to and along the southern
boundary of that Section 9 and the generally southern bound-
ary of Block XII, to a point in line with the south-western
boundary of Section 10, Block XII, thence north-westerly
to and along the south-western boundary of that section and
its production to the western side of the said Block XII;
thence northerly along a right line through Trig. J. Block V,
Upper Taieri Survey District, to the southern boundary of
Run 622, Block I, Upper Taieriside Survey District; thence
easterly along the southern boundary of that run to the
western side of Puketoi Runs Road; thence generally north-
easterly along the generally western side of that road to a
point in line with the northern boundary of Section 5, Block
III, Upper Taieri Survey District; thence easterly along the
northern boundary of that section to the western boundary
of Section 11, Block XII, Gimmerburn Survey District; thence
northerly along the western boundary of that section and
its production to the southern side of an unnamed road;
thence generally westerly along the southern side of that
road to a point in line with the eastern boundary of part
Section 4; thence northerly to and along the eastern boundary
of that section and Section 12 and its production to the
north-western side of Gibson Road; thence north-easterly
along the north-western side of that road to a point in line
with the eastern boundary of Section 3, Block XII; thence
due north to the northern boundary of Section 15, Block IV,
Gimmerburn Survey District; thence easterly along the north-
ern boundary of that section to the western side of Devon
Road; thence generally northerly along the western side of
that road to a point in line with the northern side of Barneys
Lane; thence easterly along the northern side of that lane to
a point in line with the western boundary of Section 10,
Block II, Gimmerburn Survey District; thence northerly to
and along the western boundary of that section and its
production to the northern side of Allison Lane; thence
generally easterly along the northern side of that lane to a
point in line with the eastern side of Patearoa Maniototo
Road; thence southerly to and along the eastern side of that
road to the northern side of Barneys Lane; thence generally
easterly along the northern side of that lane to the western
side of the Otago Central Railway; thence generally south-
easterly along the south-western side of that railway to the
point of commencement.
As the same is more particularly shown edged red on a
plan deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and
Development at Wellington and marked M.O.W. 28326.
