WELLINGTON CITY COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND-HAPPY VALLEY
In the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Health Act 1956 and their respective amendments, notice is hereby given that the Wellington City Council proposes under the provisions of the abovementioned Acts and all other Acts powers and authorities enabling it in that behalf to execute a certain public work namely to take land for Sanitary Works (disposal of refuse) in Happy Valley in the City of Wellington and for the purpose of that public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereto further given that a plan of the land which is required to be taken is deposited in the Public Office of the Town Clerk of the said Council in the Municipal Offices Building, 5 Mercer Street in the said City, and is there open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours and that any person affected by the taking of the said land should, if he has any objection to the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, send his written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, 32 Mulgrave Street, Wellington. And notice is hereby further given that if any objection is made as aforesaid a public hearing of that objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of that hearing and at that hearing each objector will be advised of the reason for the proposed taking.

SCHEDULE
First: All that parcel of land containing 2036 square metres, more or less, situate in Block X, Port Nicholson Survey District in the City of Wellington, as the same is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 30121 and thereon marked A.
Second: All that parcel of land containing 2.8970 hectares, more or less, situate in Block X, Port Nicholson Survey District in the City of Wellington, as the same is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 30121 and thereon marked B.
Third: All that parcel of land containing 2334 square metres, more or less, situate in Block X, Port Nicholson Survey District in the City of Wellington, as the same is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 30121 and thereon marked C.
Fourth: All that parcel of land containing 7.1237 hectares, more or less, situate in Block X, Port Nicholson Survey District in the City of Wellington, as the same is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan 30121 and thereon marked D.
The land concerned is the Long Gully situate on the westward side of Happy Valley Road approximately 400 yards north of the entrance to the refuse tip, and being part of the land presently owned and occupied by Gilbert John Stevens.
