NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL

PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Paihia-Haruru Urban Drainage District, taken on the 26th day of May 1975, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $565,000 to be known as the Paihia Sewerage Loan 1974, $565,000, for the purpose of providing sewerage reticulation and treatment in the general area of Paihia, Waitangi, and Haruru Falls resulted as follows:

The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 237
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 143
The number of informal votes was 1

I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND UNDER THE PUBLIC WORKS ACT 1928

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei City Council proposes under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to execute certain public work namely the construction of a pedestrian accessway, and for this purpose the said Whangarei City Council proposes to take under the provisions of the said Public Works Act 1928, the land described in the Schedule hereto for an accessway. Notice is further given that a Plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the said Council situated in Bank Street, Whangarei, and is there available for public inspection without fee by all persons during office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the said work or by the taking of such land who have any objections to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the said land must state their objections in writing and send the same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the General Manager at the Council Chambers, Municipal Building, Bank Street, Whangarei.

NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING

Consolidation of Special Rate

NOTICE is hereby given that the following resolution, intended to operate as a special order, was passed at a special meeting of the Pukekohe Borough Council held on Wednesday, 28 May 1975, and will be submitted for confirmation at a meeting of the Council to be held on Wednesday, 2 July 1975, at Wesley Street, Pukekohe.

RESOLUTION

PURSUANT to section 108A of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Pukekohe Borough Council hereby resolves by way of special order, that instead of levying the several special rates in the Schedule hereto, a consolidated special rate of 0.40c in the dollar on all rateable property in the Borough of Pukekohe (on the basis of the land value) be and the same is hereby made for the purposes of paying the annual charges (plus 10 percent) on the loans as set out in the said Schedule and it is hereby further resolved that the consolidated special rate as aforesaid shall be due and payable with such other general, separate, and special rates

as may be levied from time to time by the said Council, whether such rates are levied separately or are consolidated pursuant to the provisions of section 108 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954.

NELSON CITY COUNCIL

IN THE MATTER of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 and in the matter of the Public Works Act 1928:

NOTICE is hereby given that the Nelson City Council proposes under the above-mentioned Acts to execute a certain public work, namely to provide a parking place, and for the purpose of such public work the land described in the Schedule hereto situated off Alma Lane, Nelson, is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council situate in Trafalgar Street, Nelson, and is open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons directly effected by the proposal who wish to make any objection to the execution of the said public work or to the taking of the land not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation must state their objections in writing and send same within forty (40) days from the first publication of this notice to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, P.O. Box 12–244, Wellington North. A public hearing of any such objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.
