UNION ASSURANCE SOCIETY LTD., a company incorporated in England;
NORTHERN ASSURANCE COMPANY LTD., a company incorporated in England; and
NORTH BRITISH AND MERCANTILE INSURANCE COMPANY LTD., a company incorporated in England all of which companies have their respective place of business for New Zealand at Wellington, intend to cease to have a place of business in New Zealand on the expiration of 3 months from the date of the first publication of this notice.
It should be noted that the New Zealand assets, liabilities, and business of the above five companies has been transferred to the parent company, the Commercial Union Assurance Company Ltd.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL
Renwick Water Supply Loan 1975—$145,000
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that a poll of the ratepayers of the Renwick Water Supply Loan special rating area taken on the 25th day of March 1975 on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $145,000 to be known as the Renwick Water Supply Loan 1975, $145,000, for the purpose of providing a public water supply within the special rating area, resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 159
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 66
The number of informal votes was 2
I therefore declare that the proposal was carried.

WAIMAIRI COUNTY COUNCIL
SPECIAL ORDER
THE Waimairi County Council in exercise of the powers vested in it by sections 87 and 266 of the Counties Act 1956 hereby resolves that on 1 April 1975, all land within the County of Waimairi be constituted a water supply area. The supply area so constituted on the aforementioned date to be known as the Waimairi County Water Supply Area.
The foregoing special order was passed at an ordinary meeting of the Waimairi County Council held on 20 February 1975, and confirmed at an ordinary meeting of the said authority on 20 March 1975 having meantime been advertised in the Christchurch Press and Christchurch Star on 26 February and 11 March 1975.
The common seal of the Chairman, Councillors, and Inhabitants of the County of Waimairi was hereunto affixed in the presence of the Chairman and County Clerk.

NOTICE OF RESULT OF POLL ON LOAN PROPOSAL
PORIRUA CITY COUNCIL
PURSUANT to section 38 of the Local Authorities Loans Act 1956, notice is hereby given that at a poll of the ratepayers of the City of Porirua, taken on the 22nd day of March 1975, on the proposal of the above-named local authority to raise a loan of $736,000, to be known as Pukerua Bay Water and Sewerage Reticulation Loan 1974, for the purpose of providing water and sewerage reticulation services, water reservoirs, and sewage pumping stations for the Pukerua Bay area to the city resulted as follows:
The number of votes recorded for the proposal was 1,838
The number of votes recorded against the proposal was 1,290
The number of informal votes was 15
I, therefore, declare that the proposal was carried.
