bylaws of the borough and shall continue in force until
altered or revoked in the manner provided for in the Municipal
Corporations Act 1954.

  1. Except as otherwise provided herein or in the Local
    Government Act 1974 the provisions of the Municipal Corporation
    Act 1954 shall apply to the constitution of the Borough.

  2. The district scheme of the Matamata County in so far
    as it applies to the borough shall be administered by the
    borough council which shall not be required forthwith to
    prepare a new district scheme pursuant to section 28B (2)
    of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953.

SCHEDULE

ALL that area in the South Auckland Land District, Mata-
mata County, bounded by a line commencing at a point
in the middle of the Matarawa Stream on the south-eastern
boundary of Section 15, Block VII, Patetere South Survey
District, and proceeding north-easterly along the said boundary,
along a right line across Paraonui Road to and along the south-
eastern boundaries of Lot 1, D.P. S. 7490, and Part Lot 2,
D.P. 23866, and along a right line across the Tokoroa
branch railway to the western corner of Lot 13, D.P. 23866,
situated in Block VIII, Patetere South Survey District; thence
north-easterly along the north-western boundary of that lot
thence southerly
to the western side of State Highway 1;
along that side to its intersection with the production north-
westerly of the north-eastern side of Newells Road; thence
south-easterly along that production to the eastern side of
State Highway 1; thence southerly along that side to the
southern corner of Lot 11, D.P. S. 3799; thence north-
easterly along the southern boundary of that lot to the
western corner of Lot 2, D.P. S. 17324; thence south-easterly
along the south-western boundaries of that lot and Lot 1,
D.P. S. 16211, to the northern side of Sloss Road; thence
south-westerly along that side to the middle of the Wha-
kauru Stream; thence south-easterly along the middle of
that stream to the north-eastern boundary of Section 82,
Block VIII, aforesaid; thence generally easterly along the
northern and eastern boundaries of the said Section 82
to the middle of the Whakauru Stream; thence easterly
along the middle of that stream to a point in line with
the eastern boundary of Part Lot 3, D.P. 23241; thence
southerly along that boundary and the eastern boundary
of Lot 1, D.P. S. 7382, and the last-mentioned boundary
produced to the southern side of Mossop Road; thence
westerly along that side to the north-eastern corner of Lot 1,
D.P. S. 10378; thence southerly and westerly along the
eastern and southern boundaries of that lot to the eastern
side of State Highway 1; thence southerly along that side
to the northern boundary of Lot 61, D.P. S. 2883; thence
easterly along that boundary, the end of Dumfries Road
and the northern boundary of Lot 30, D.P. S. 2883, to
the north-eastern corner of that lot; thence generally south-
easterly along the north-eastern boundaries of the said
Lot 30 and Lots 31-42, D.P. S. 2883, the north-western
side and end of Moffat Road and the north-eastern bound-
aries of Lots 43 to 57, D.P. S. 2883, to the south-eastern
corner of the said Lot 57; thence westerly along the southern
boundary of the said Lot 57, the end of Lochmaben Road
and the southern boundaries of Lots 29 and 65, D.P. S.
2883 to the eastern side of State Highway 1; thence south-
erly along that side to a point in line with the south-eastern
side of Campbell Road; thence south-westerly to and along
that side to the western side of the Tokoroa branch rail-
way; thence northerly along that side to the south-eastern
boundary of Lot 1, D.P. S. 16787, situated in Block XII, Pate-
tere South Survey District; thence south-westerly along that
boundary and a right line to and along the north-western
boundary of Lot 21, D.P. 23865, to the north-eastern side
of Old Taupo Road; thence north-westerly along that side
to the south-eastern side of Maraetai Road; thence north-
easterly along that side to the northernmost corner of
Part Lot 4, D.P. 32554, situated in Block XI, Patetere South
Survey District; thence along a right line at right angles to
the north-western side of Maraetai Road to that side; thence
north-easterly along that side to the north-eastern boundary
of part Lot 52, D.P. 13928; thence generally north-westerly
along that boundary, the south-eastern and north-eastern
boundaries of Lot 8, D.P. 23866, situated in Block VII,
Patetere South Survey District, and the north-eastern
boundaries of Lots 3 and 4, D.P. S. 16207, to the southern
side of Baird Road; thence south-westerly along that side
to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Lot 35,
D.P. 23867; thence north-westerly to and along that bound-
ary to the southern corner of Lot 1, D.P. S. 13552; thence

north-easterly and north-westerly along the south-eastern and
north-eastern boundaries of that lot to the south-eastern
boundary of part Section 15, Block VII, aforesaid; thence
north-easterly along that boundary to the point of com-
mencement.

Present:
THE HON. R. J. TIZARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Act 1974 and the Local
Government Commission Act 1967 (to the extent that it
continues in force in relation to this Order), His Excellency
the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the follow-
ing Order.

ORDER

  1. This Order shall come into force on 1 April 1975.

  2. The boundaries of the Christchurch Tramway District
    are hereby altered by including therein the areas described
    in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

FIRSTLY, all that area in the Canterbury Land District, City
of Christchurch bounded by a line commencing at a point
on the southern side of Beach Road in line with the western
boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 24532, in Block VIII, Christchurch
Survey District, and proceeding northerly to and along that
boundary and the western boundary of Lot 3, D.P. 24532,
to the northern boundary of that lot; thence easterly along
that boundary and its production to the south-western corner
of Lot 3, D.P. 11317; thence easterly, northerly, and easterly
again along the generally southern boundary of that lot to
the western side of Badger Street; thence north-easterly
generally along that roadside, the northern side of Sylvia
Street, and the eastern boundary of Lot 1, D.P. 11317, to the
southern boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 20980; thence easterly
along that boundary to the north-eastern corner of Lot 32,
D.P. 8314, along a right line to the north-western corner
of Lot 2, D.P. 29675, and along the southern boundaries
of Lots 2 and 3, D.P. 20980, to the south-eastern boundary
of the last-mentioned lot; thence northerly along the eastern
boundaries of that lot and Lots 4, 5, and 1, D.P. 20980,
to the southern boundary of Rural Section 13981; thence
easterly along that boundary and its production to the
middle of Bower Avenue; thence southerly along the middle
of that road and easterly along the middle of Florance
Avenue to the western boundary of Reserve 1579; thence
southerly along that boundary and the western boundaries
of Lot 1, D.P. 16752, and Lot 1, D.P. 28645, and its produc-
tion to the southern side of Beach Road; thence westerly
along that roadside to the point of commencement.

Secondly, all that area in the Canterbury Land District,
City of Christchurch, bounded by a line commencing at
a point on the southern side of Winters Road in line with
the eastern boundary of Lot 8, D.P. 8761, in Block VII,
Christchurch Survey District, and proceeding westerly along
that roadside and its production to the western side of
Main North Road (No. 1 State Highway); thence northerly
and westerly along that roadside and the southern side
of Northcote Road to the south-eastern boundary of the
South Island Main Trunk Railway; thence north-easterly
along a right line to the south-western corner of Lot 1,
D.P. 13514; thence north-easterly along the south-eastern
boundary of the South Island Main Trunk Railway to the
production of the southern boundary of Lot 9, D.P. 18085;
thence easterly along that production to the north-western
corner of Reserve 4906, along the northern boundary of
that reserve and its production to the western side of
Ealing Street, along a right line to the south-western corner
of the accessway along the northern boundary of Lot 108,
D.P. 19274, along the southern side of that accessway and
its production to the eastern side of Fenchurch Street, along
the southern boundaries of Lots 216, 213, and 198, D.P.
19275, and its production to the eastern side of Lambeth
