NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

A Bill intituled “An Act to Empower the Mary Bryant Trust Board to transfer portion of its assets to the Salvation Army of New Zealand and the Remainder of its assets to the D. V. Bryant Trust Board”.

  1. The Mary Bryant Trust Board a board duly incorporated under the provisions of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957, and having its registered office at Hamilton, hereby gives notice of intention to apply for leave of the House of Representatives to enable the said board to bring in during the next session of the House a Bill intituled “An Act to empower the Mary Bryant Trust Board to transfer portion of its assets to the Salvation Army of New Zealand and the remainder of its assets to the D. V. Bryant Trust Board”.

  2. The object of the said Bill is to authorise the Mary Bryant Trust Board to transfer to the Salvation Army of New Zealand the children's nursery situated at 25 Thackeray Street, Hamilton, together with the contents thereof, and to transfer all the remaining assets of the Mary Bryant Trust Board to the D.V. Bryant Trust Board a board duly incorporated under the provisions of the Charitable Trusts Act 1957 and having its registered office at Hamilton. Both the Salvation Army of New Zealand and the D. V. Bryant Trust Board shall stand possessed of the assets transferred to them upon the trusts for which those respective bodies are established.

  3. The promoter of the said Bill is the Mary Bryant Trust Board whose address for service is D. V. Bryant Trust Board Building, Barton Street, Hamilton.

  4. A copy of the said Bill may be inspected at the offices of the board’s solicitors, Messrs McCaw, Smith and Arcus, Fifth Floor, N.Z.I. Building, Garden Place, Hamilton.

FURTHUR NOTICE OF PRIVATE BILL

NOTICE is hereby given that Heathcote Beetham Williams, of Turihaua, near Gisborne, sheepfarmer, intends to apply to the House of Representatives for leave to bring in the abovementioned Bill.

The objects of the Bill are to ensure the maintenance and development of the property at Rere containing 323 acres 3

roods 4.1 perches, more or less, and more popularly known as Eastwoodhill, as an arboretum by establishing a constitution suitable for that purpose.

A copy of the Bill may be inspected at the offices of Messrs Nolan and Skeet, 46 Childers Road, Gisborne, solicitors for the promoter Mr H. B. Williams, to which office communications or notices to the promoter may be sent.

Prior notice of this Bill was given in 1974, but this further notice is required to enable the Bill as then notified to come before the 1975 sessions of the House.
