Maori Land Development Notice
Pursuant to section 332 of the Maori Affairs Act 1953,
the Board of Maori Affairs hereby gives notice as follows.
NOTICE
-
This notice may be cited as Maori Land Development
Notice Whangarei 1975, No. 3. -
The notice referred to in the First Schedule hereto is
hereby amended by omitting all reference to the land described
in the Second Schedule hereto. -
The land described in the Second Schedule hereto is
hereby released from Part XXIV of the Maori Affairs Act

Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation
WHEREAS by notice dated 24 October 1972 and published
in the New Zealand Gazette, 9 November 1972, No. 92,
page 2428, the lands described in the First Schedule hereto
were set apart as a Maori Reservation:
And whereas it is now desired to extend the reservation
to contain adjoining land as recommended by the Maori
Land Court and also to show the new appellation of the
reservation:
Now therefore, pursuant to section 439 of the Maori
Affairs Act 1953, notice is hereby given as follows.
NOTICE
-
The reservation constituted by notice dated 24 October
1972 and published in the New Zealand Gazette, 9 November
1972, No. 92, page 2428, relating to the lands described
in the First Schedule hereto is hereby cancelled. -
The Maori freehold land described in the Second
Schedule hereto is hereby set apart as a Maori Reservation
for the purposes of a meeting place, recreation ground, burial
ground, and generally as a marae for the common use and
benefit of the members of the Whanau-a-Ruataupare (sub-
tribe) hapu of the Ngati Porou tribe.

ALL those pieces of land situated in Block I, Waipiro Survey
District, and described as follows:

Acquisition of Land as a Reserve
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice
is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule
hereto has been acquired as a reserve for recreation purposes.

Acquisition of Land for a Historic Reserve
Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice
is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto
has been acquired as a reserve for historic purposes subject
to the provisions of Part V of the said Act, to be known
as the Kohuwhera Pa Historic Reserve.

Environmental Impact Report Notified-Reafforestation
Proposals in the King Country
The Commission for the Environment gives notice that it
has received an environmental impact report on the Re-
afforestation Proposals in the King Country.
Representations in writing on the environmental aspects
of the project, as it is explained in the report, will be received
at the office of the Commission, P.O. 12-042, Wellington
North, until Friday, 18 April 1975.
Copies of the report may be purchased from New Zealand
Forest Products Limited, Private Bag, Tokoroa, Hamilton,
at a cost of $2.00 or seen at the public library at Hamilton,
Tokoroa, Taumaranui, Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, or
Dunedin or at the libraries of the seven university institutions.
