Improvement Act 1945, and their respective amendments:
Notice is hereby given that the Wellington City Council pro-
poses under the provisions of the above-named Acts and all
other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf
to execute a certain public work, namely for the purposes of
Part II of the Urban Renewal and Housing Improvement Act
1945 in the City of Wellington, and for the purpose of that
public work the land described in the Schedule hereto is re-
quired to be taken. And notice is hereby further given that a
plan of the land which is required to be taken is deposited
in the Public Office of the Town Clerk to the said Council
in the Municipal Office Building, 5 Mercer Street, Wellington,
and is there open for inspection, without fee, by all persons
during ordinary office hours, and that any person affected by
the execution of the said public work or the taking of the
said land should, if he has any objection to the execution of
the said public work or to the taking of the said land, not
being an objection to amount or payment of compensation,
send his written objection within 40 days from the first publica-
tion of this notice to the Town and Country Planning Appeal

poses under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act and all
other Acts, powers, and authorities enabling it in that behalf
to change the purpose for which the land described in the
Schedule hereto was acquired, namely for pleasure ground,
to some other purpose, namely street. And notice is hereby
further given that a plan of the said land is deposited in the
public office of the Town Clerk to the said Council in the
Municipal Offices Building, 5 Mercer Street in the said City,
and is there open for public inspection, without fee, by all
persons during ordinary office hours. And that all persons
objecting to the proposal are required to lodge their objections
in writing at the offices of the said Town Clerk within forty
(40) days from the first publication of this notice.

SCHEDULE
Firstly, all that piece of land containing two thousand seven
hundred and fifty six (2756) square metres, more or less, being
part Lot 1, D.P. 8458, being part Block XI, Port Nicholson
District, and being part of the land comprised and described
in parts certificate of title 483/174 and 542/243, Wellington
Registry, more particularly shown on S.O. plan 30137 and
thereon numbered "A". Secondly, all that piece of land con-
taining three hundred and twelve (312) square metres, more
or less, being part Lot 1, D.P. 8458, being part Block XI, Port
Nicholson District, and being part of the land comprised and
described in parts certificate of title 483/174 and 542/243,
Wellington Registry, more particularly shown on S.O. Plan
30137 and thereon numbered "C".

The above pieces of land being presently comprised in the
area known as Centennial Park in the vicinity of Miramar
North Road and Darlington Road.
