NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND

IN the matter of the Public Works Act 1928, notice is hereby given that the North Auckland Electric Power Board proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take the land described in the Schedule hereto for the use of electric works; and notice is hereby further given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is deposited at the head office of the North Auckland Electric Power Board situated in Mount Pleasant Street, Whangarei, and is open for public inspection, without fee, by all persons during ordinary business hours. Any person affected by the execution of the said works, or the taking of the said land, should, if he has any objection to the execution of the said works, or the taking of the said land, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, send his written objection within 40 days from the first publication of this notice to the North Auckland Electric Power Board addressed to the Secretary at the Board’s head office at Whangarei. And notice is further given that if any objection is made, as aforesaid, a public hearing will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of that hearing.

THE land required to be taken is situated on State Highway No. 12 (Ohaewai to Maungaturoto) at Maungaturoto and owned by Wairau Farms Ltd., Maungaturoto, comprises: part Allotments 38 and 38c, Parish of Wairau, situated in Block VIII, Waipu Survey District. Certificate of titles 540/210 and 18B/1484: area, 4045 square metres. The land is more particularly delineated on S.O. Plan No. 50417 and thereon coloured yellow.

WHANGAREI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND FOR ROAD

NOTICE is hereby given that the Whangarei County Council intends, under the provisions of the Counties Act 1956, to execute a certain work, namely, a road, and for the purpose of such work the land described in the Schedule hereto is required to be taken pursuant to the Public Works Act 1928; and notice is further given that a plan showing the said land is deposited at the office of the Council situated at Springs Flat, Kamo, and mav there be inspected, without fee, by all persons during ordinary office hours. All persons affected by the said work or by taking of the said land and who have any objection thereto, not being an objection as to the amount or payment of compensation, must state their objections in writing and send the same to the Secretary, Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, P.O. Box 12244, Wellington North, so as to reach him not later than the 13th day of January 1976 being 40 days after the first publication of this notice. If any objection is received a public hearing of the same will be held unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of such hearing.

WANGANUI COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE AN EASEMENT OVER LAND IN BLOCK V, IKITARA SURVEY DISTRICT

NOTICE is hereby given that the Wanganui County Council proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928, to take an easement for water supply and storage purposes over the land described in the Schedule hereto, which easement will grant to the Wanganui County Council the full free and uninterrupted right, liberty, and privilege to install a water bore, water storage tanks, pump, pump house, and pipelines to obtain, store, and convey water by way of pipes from and over or through the land described in the Schedule hereto to other lands in Putiki, and for those purposes to enter upon the said land described in the Schedule hereto with or without engineers and workmen and with or without any necessary vehicles, implements, tools, pipes, and material of any kind to lay, maintain, repair, and renew such bore, tanks, pump, pump house, and pipelines; and notice is hereby further given that the plan of the land showing the easement so required to be taken is deposited at the offices of Armstrong Barton & Co., Solicitors, 44 Drews Avenue, Wanganui, and is there open for inspection; that all persons directly affected by the taking of the said easement should, if they have any objection to the taking of the said easement, not being an objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make a written objection and send it within 40 days after the first publication of this notice to The Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection will be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing. The first publication of this notice will be on 11 December 1975.

PURSUANT to the Law Practitioners Act 1955, notice is hereby given that the Disciplinary Committee of the New Zealand Law Society on the 19th day of November 1975, ordered that the name of John Victor Carthy, of Auckland, be restored to the Roll of Barristers and the Roll of Solicitors, of the Supreme Court of New Zealand, subject to the condition that the said John Victor Carthy shall not practise as a solicitor on his own account, whether in partnership or otherwise, until authorised by the Disciplinary Committee to do so.
