NOTICE is hereby given that it is proposed, under the provisions\nof the Public Works Act 1928, to take for soil conservation\nand river control purposes (Te Kuiti Borough Flood Protection) the land described in the Schedule hereto such land to be\nused for construction of stop banks and river diversion. And\nnotice is hereby further given that the plans of the land so\nrequired to be taken are deposited in the post office at Te\nKuiti and are there open for inspection; that all persons\ndirectly affected by the taking of the said land should, if they\nhave any objection to the taking of the said land, not being\nan objection to the amount or payment of compensation, make\na written objection and send it within 40 days after the first\npublication of this notice, to the Town and Country Planning\nAppeal Board at Wellington; and that, if any objection is made\nin accordance with this notice, a public hearing of the objection\nwill be held, unless the objector otherwise requires, and each\nobjector will be advised of the time and place of the hearing.\n
