Redefining the Boundaries of Moerewa (Formerly Kawakawa) Riding

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Bay of Islands County, bounded by a line commencing at the intersection of the middle lines of the Kawakawa and Karetu Rivers, in Block IX, Russell Survey District, and proceeding south-easterly generally along the south-western boundary of Russell Riding as decribed in New Zealand Gazette, 1962, page 988, to the middle of the end of Owae Road in Block XIV, Russell Survey District; thence south-westerly generally along the middle of that road and along the middle of another public road forming the north-western boundaries of Sections 7, 22, and 14, Block XIV, aforesaid, and Allotment 106, Ruapekapeka Parish, to a point in line with the north-western boundary of the said Allotment 106, in Block XIII, Russell Survey District; thence along a right line to and along that north-western boundary and along the right bank of the Tirohanga Stream to the eastern boundary of Allotment 109, Ruapekapeka Parish; thence southerly and westerly along the eastern and southern boundaries of that Allotment 109 to and southerly along the western boundary of Allotment 86, Ruapekapeka Parish, and that boundary produced across a public road to its southern side in Block I, Hukerenui Survey District; thence south-westerly along that southern side to and along the northern boundaries of that Part Mohinui Number 9 Block as shown on D.P. 14011, crossing the intervening public road to and south-westerly along the southeastern boundaries of that part Mohinui Number 9 Block along a right line across a public road and along the southeastern boundaries of Mohinui Block and continuing along the north-western boundaries of Section 1, Block IV, Motatau Survey District, and that boundary produced to the western side of State Highway No. 1; thence southerly along that western roadside, to and westerly and southerly along the northern and western boundaries of Section 7, Block IV, aforesaid, to and along the western boundaries of Sections 38 and 39, Block VIII, Motatau Survey District, crossing the intervening Newmarket-Opua Railway to and south-westerly generally along the northern side of Opahi Road, recrossing the intervening Newmarket-Opua Railway, to and northerly along the western boundary of Section 14, Block VIII, aforesaid, to and south-westerly generally down the middle of the Ramarama Stream to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of Motatau 2, Section 57B; thence along a right line to and along that south-eastern boundary and along the south-western boundary of Motatau 2, Section 57B, to the southern side of Opahi-Motatau Road and due north to and along the northern side of that road to a point in line with the north-western boundary of Motatau 2, Section 55; thence south-westerly generally along the north-western boundaries of Motatau 2, Sections 55 and 58, shown on D.P. 7585, and the last-mentioned boundary produced to the middle of the Otai Stream in Block VII, Motatau Survey District; thence northerly generally down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the southwestern boundary of Motatau 2, Section 17; thence along a right line to and along the south-western and western boundary of Motatau 2, Section 17, shown on D.P. 7585, crossing the intervening Pukatea Road along the western and south-western boundaries of Motatau 2, Section 15, and Motatau 2, Section 13, both as shown on D.P 7583, and by the production of that south-western boundary across a public road to and down the middle of Te Tahunaakura Stream, to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Motatau 1E4, in Block XIV, Kawakawa Survey District; thence along a right line to and along the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of the said 1E4 crossing an intervening roadway to and south-westerly generally along the north-western boundaries of Motatau 1E6 and 1E4 and Motatau 1E3 and 1E1C, to and north-westerly along the north-eastern boundary of Motatau 1A4, the north-eastern and north-western boundaries of Motatau 1A3 and the generally northern boundaries of Motatau 1A2B, 1A2A, and 1A1D, crossing the intervening Otitiria-Kaikohe Railway to the middle of Tautoro-Otiria Road in Block XIII, Kawakawa Survey District; thence north-easterly along the middle of that road to its intersection with the production of the south-western boundary of the Kawakawa Parish in Block XV, Kawakawa Survey District; thence northerly generally along a right line to and along the south-western and north-western boundaries of the said parish to a point in line with the south-westernmost boundary of Allotment 193A; thence southerly along the production of that south-westernmost boundary to the northeasterly along the middle of Hautapu Road to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Allotment 249, Kawakawa Parish; thence north-westerly along a right line to and along the north-eastern boundary of the said Allotment 249, northerly along the eastern boundaries of Lots 4 and 2, D.P.

23015, and the last-mentioned boundary produced across a public road, to the southern boundary of Allotment 74, Kawakawa Parish in Block XI, Kawakawa Survey District; thence easterly and northerly along the southern and eastern boundaries of Allotment 74 to its easternmost corner; thence easterly generally along the southern boundary of the Waitangi Riding hereinbefore described to the point of commencement, excluding therefrom the Kawakawa County Town.

Redefining the Boundaries of Pakaraka Riding

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Bay of Islands County, bounded by a line commencing at the confluence of the Waitangi River with the Waiaruhe River in Block VI, Kawakawa Survey District, and proceeding northeasterly generally along the southern boundary of Kerikeri Riding as hereinbefore described, to and southerly generally along the western boundary of Waitangi Riding as hereinbefore described, to and south-westerly along the northern boundary of Moerewa Riding as hereinbefore described, to and westerly generally along the northern boundary of Tautora Riding hereinbefore described, to a point in the middle of State Highway No. 12 in Block XVI, Omapere Survey District; thence north-easterly generally along the middle of State Highway No. 12, the middle of Old-Bay Road, and that middle line produced to and down the middle of Waiaruhe River to the point of commencement.

Redefining the Boundaries of Tautoro Riding

ALL that area in the North Auckland Land District, Bay of Islands County, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the middle of Waiharakeke Stream in line with the northeastern boundary of Motatau 1E4, in Block XIV, Kawakawa Survey District, and proceeding southerly generally along the boundary of the Moerewa Riding hereinbefore described to a point in the middle of Otai Stream in line with the north-western boundary of Motatau 2, Section 58, shown on D.P. 7585 in Block VII, Motatau Survey District; thence southerly up the middle of the Otai Stream to a point in line with the generally eastern boundary of Motatau 1D1, Block XI, Motatau Survey District; thence along a right line to and along that eastern boundary to and along western boundary of Motatau 2, Section 59D, shown on D.P. 7587, crossing and recrossing a public road to and along the western boundary of Maromaku Block to and westerly generally along the southern boundary of the Bay of Islands County as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1969, page 2592, to and northerly generally along the eastern boundary of Mataraaua Riding as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1969, page 2594, to the southern boundary of the Borough of Kaikohe as described in New Zealand Gazette, 1969, page 2591; thence northerly along the eastern boundary of the said borough to the middle of State Highway No. 12; thence easterly along the middle of that State highway to a point in line with the south-western boundary of Orauruwharo No. 5C, Block XVI, Omapere Survey District; thence southerly generally along a right line to and along the south-western boundary of the said Orauruwharo No. 5C, the north-western and generally southern boundaries of Tuwhakino Block, the western boundary of Waiparaheke Block, the north-western and south-western boundaries of Otutaorau Block, and the south-western boundaries of Motatau 3S and 3P, the crossing of a public road and the Kaikohe branch railway to the southernmost corner of Motatau 3P Block; thence northerly generally along the north-western boundary of Section 9, the recrossing of the aforementioned public road and railway, along the north-western boundary of Section 8, the western boundaries of Part Sections 3, 2, and 1, all the aforesaid sections being of Block 1, Motatau Survey District, along the northern and eastern boundaries of Section 1 aforesaid, and its production to the middle of Orauta Stream; thence north-easterly down the middle of that stream to a point in line with the north-eastern boundary of Motatau 1A1D; thence easterly generally along a right line to and along the north-eastern boundary of Motatau 1A1D, across a public road and the Kaikohe branch railway, along the southern boundary of Moerewa Riding hereinbefore described, to the point of commencement.
