The Traffic (Waiapu County) Notice No. 1, 1974

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waiapu County) Notice No. 1, 1974.

2. All that area bounded by and including the roads specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Waiapu County at Te Araroa:

All that area bounded by a line commencing at a point on the southern side of Pohutu Road due south of the western side of Koronia Street; thence easterly generally along the southern side of Pohutu Road and the prolongation on that southern side to the left bank of the Awatere River; thence northerly generally along the bank to the shore of the South Pacific Ocean; then westerly generally along that shore to a point due north of the intersection of the western side of Arewhana Street and the southern side of Moana Parade; thence due south by a right line to the said intersection; thence southerly generally along the western side of Arewhana Street to the northern side of Wiira Street; thence westerly generally along the northern side of Wiira Street to the western side of Koronia Street; thence southerly generally along the western side of Koronia Street to the northern side of Pohutu Road; thence across Pohutu Road at right angles to its northern side to the commencing point.

SECOND SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Marlborough County at Havelock:

No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim-Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth): from a point 60 metres measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Outram Street to a point 50 metres measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Hodson Street.

2. The road specified in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

SCHEDULE

SITUATED in Marlborough County at Wairau Valley Township:

No. 63 State Highway (Renwick-Kawatiri): from a point 50 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said highway from Church Road to a point 100 metres measured south-westerly generally along the said highway from School Road.

The Traffic (Marlborough County) Notice No. 1, 1974

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Marlborough County) Notice No. 1, 1974.

2. The road specified in the First Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a closely populated locality for the purposes of section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The road specified in the Second Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be a 40-miles-an-hour speed limit area for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

4. The Traffic (Marlborough County) Notice 1963, dated the 27th day of June 1963†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, which relates to roads situated in Marlborough County at Havelock is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

SITUATED within Marlborough County at Havelock:

No. 6 State Highway (Blenheim Invercargill via Nelson and Greymouth): from a point 60 metres measured southerly generally along the said State highway from Outram Street to a point 140 metres measured north-westerly generally along the said State highway from Clive Street.

Declaring Land in the Westland Land District to be Crown Land Subject to the Land Act 1948

Pursuant to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, the Minister of Mines hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

The land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby declared to be Crown land subject to the Land Act 1948.
