the Wellington Show Buildings, from the 17th day
of September to the 29th day of September 1974,
and to be known as the 1974 Chinese Economic
and Trade Exhibition.

The exhibition is hereby authorised and declared to be an
exhibition within the meaning of the Act. -
Subject to the conditions set out in the Schedule hereto,
the following provisions are hereby suspended in so far as
they relate to work done or business conducted or services
rendered in the said premises during the period of the exhibition,
by or on behalf of the promoter, or by or on behalf of
any exhibitor at the exhibition, or by any person employed in
or about the exhibition, namely—such of the provisions of—
(a) The Industrial Relations Act 1973 and all collective
agreements and awards in force thereunder;
(b) The Shops and Offices Act 1955; and
(c) The Factories Act 1946
as relate to the hours of commencing or ceasing work, or to
the issue of permits, or to the payment for overtime, or
extended hours, or to holidays and half-holidays, or to the
closing of shops.
SCHEDULE
-
Forty hours shall constitute a week’s work, to be worked
on 5 days of the week, and 8 hours shall constitute a day’s
work in or about the exhibition, and with the exception
set out in clause 2 hereof, the daily hours shall be worked
consecutively. -
No person shall be employed in or about the exhibition
for more than 4 hours without an interval of at least three-
quarters of an hour for a meal. -
(a) Any person employed during any day in or about
the exhibition who is employed on that day for more than
8 hours, or before the hour of 8 a.m., or after the hour
of 10.30 p.m., or on any day in excess of 5 days per week
(whether the excess employment is in or about the exhibition
or otherwise) shall be paid for the excess employment at not
less than half as much again as the ordinary rate for the first
2 hours and at not less than twice the ordinary rate thereafter.
(b) Any person employed in or about the exhibition on any
day that would, but for the provisions of this order, have been
a whole holiday for that person by virtue of any Act, or of
any award or industrial agreement, shall be paid for all work
done on that day at not less than twice the ordinary rate,
whether the work is performed wholly in or about the exhibition
or otherwise: Provided that nothing in this subclause
shall be deemed to deprive any person of any other payment
for the said holiday to which he is entitled under any Act or
award or industrial agreement.

No assistant under 18 years of age shall be employed
in or about the exhibition after the hour of 10.30 p.m. -
For the purposes of the enforcement of an award or
industrial agreement, any provision of which has been suspended
by this order, any officer of the industrial union or
association concerned who is authorised in writing in that
behalf by the union or association shall be entitled to interview
at his place of employment any person employed in or
about the exhibition under that award or industrial agreement
at such time or times as may be agreed upon between the
officer and the employer of that person, and for this purpose
any such officer shall be entitled at any time to have access
to the register of passes issued by the promoter. -
Nothing in this notice shall be deemed to affect any provisions
in an award or industrial agreement requiring workers
subject to the award or industrial agreement to be members of
a union.

Change of Purpose of a Reserve
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of the reserve
described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve for accessway
purposes to a reserve for road purposes.

Lots 673 and 690, Deeds Plan 619, being part Allotment 17,
Maraetai Parish situated in Block I, Wairoa Survey District:
area, 2022 square metres, more or less. All certificate of

Change of the Purpose of Part of a Reserve to Recreation
Purposes and Addition of the Reserve to the Hamilton
Domain
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby changes the purpose of that part
of the reserve described in the Schedule hereto from a reserve
for railway purposes to a reserve for recreation purposes,
and further, declares the said reserve to be a public domain
subject to the provisions of Part III of the said Act to
form part of the Hamilton Domain to be administered as a
public domain by the Domain Board.

ALLOTMENT 479 (formerly part Allotment 9), Te Rapa Parish
situated in Block I, Hamilton Survey District: area, 8157

Declaration that a Reserve Form Part of the Hunua Domain
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby declares the reserve for recreation
described in the Schedule hereto to be a public domain,
subject to the provisions of Part III of the said Act, to
form part of the Hunua Domain to be administered as a
public domain by the Domain Board.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—FRANKLIN COUNTY
PART Allotment 44, Hunua Parish situated in Block II,
Opaheke Survey District: area, 1934 square metres, more or
less. Part certificate of title, Volume 1058, folio 208. As
shown on the plan marked L. and S. 1/516, deposited in
the Head Office, Department of Lands and Survey at Wellington
and thereon edged red.

Revocation of the Reservation Over a Reserve Specifying
the Manner of Disposal and How Proceeds of Sale Shall
be Utilised
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation as a reserve
for recreation purposes over the land described in the Schedule
hereto and further declares that the said land may be
disposed of by the Glen Eden Borough Council at current
market value, the proceeds from any such sale to be paid
into the council’s reserves account, such moneys to be used
and applied in or towards the improvement of other recreation
reserves under the control of the council, or in or
towards the purchase of other land for recreation purposes.
