The King Country Electric Power District Representation Order 1974

At the Government House at Wellington this 2nd day of September 1974
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
Pursuant to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(i) This order may be cited as the King Country Electric Power District Representation Order 1974.
(ii) This order shall come into force on the date of the next general election of members of local authorities. -
The constituent districts of the King Country Electric Power District, which are bracketed together in the first column of the Schedule hereto, shall be combined districts for the purpose of the said Act.

The local authority of the constituent district distinguished in the first column of the said Schedule by the letter "(P)" shall be the principal local authority for the said combined district.

The number of representatives of each constituent district or combined district of the King Country Electric Power Board shall be the number specified in the said Schedule opposite the name of that constituent district or combined district.

The Order in Council apportioning representation on the King Country Electric Power Board dated 16 September 1959, and published in the Gazette on 17 September 1959, at p. 1298 is hereby revoked.

That part of the Order in Council merging the electric supply districts of the King Country Electric Power Board and the Ohakune Borough Council dated 27 January 1969, and published in the Gazette on 6 February 1969, at p. 164, which apportions representation on the King Country Electric Power Board is revoked.

Pursuant to the Electric Power Boards Act 1925, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

This order may be cited as the Horowhenua Electric Power District Representation Order 1968, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the Horowhenua Electric Power District Representation Order 1968* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

The principal order is hereby amended by deleting from the Schedule thereto the words "Part Hutt County" and substituting the words "Kapiti Borough".

This order may be cited as the South Canterbury Electric Power District Representation Order 1971, Amendment No. 1, and shall be read together with and deemed part of the South Canterbury Electric Power District Representation Order 1971* (hereinafter referred to as the principal order).

The principal order is hereby amended by deleting the Schedule thereto and substituting the Schedule hereto.

Judge of Industrial Court Appointed

Pursuant to section 33 of the Industrial Relations Act 1973, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby appoints Raymond Douglas Jamieson, Esquire, Stipendiary Magistrate, to be Judge of the Industrial Court on and from the 1st day of September 1974.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 20th day of August 1974.

Appointing a Member of the Water Resources Council
DENIS BLUNDELL, Governor-General
Pursuant to the Water and Soil Conservation Act 1967, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby appoint Dr David Kear, an officer of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, to be a member of the Water Resources Council from and including the 1st day of August 1974.
As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 30th day of August 1974.
