proposes, under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928,
to take for road and for the use convenience or enjoyment
of a road the lands described in the First and Second
Schedules hereto, such lands to be used for the widening
of an existing road and notice is hereby further given that
the plan of the lands so required to be taken are deposited
in the office of the Raglan County Council, Great South
Road, Ngaruawahia, and is there open for inspection; that
all persons directly affected by the taking of the said lands
should, if they have any objections to the taking of the said
lands, not being an objection to the amount or payment
of compensation, make written objection and send it within
forty (40) days after the first publication of this notice,
to the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board at Welling-
ton; and that, if any objection is made in accordance with
this notice a public hearing of the objection will be held,
unless the objector otherwise requires, and each objector will
be advised of the time and place of the hearing.

KAIKOHE BOROUGH COUNCIL
NOTICE OF INTENTION TO TAKE LAND
In the matter of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, and
the Public Works Act 1928:
NOTICE is hereby given that the Kaikohe Borough Council
proposes, under the provisions of the above-mentioned Acts,
to execute a certain public work, namely, the construction
of a street off Orrs Road, Kaikohe; and for the purposes
of such public work the land described in the Schedule
hereto is required to be taken. And notice is hereby further
given that a plan of the land so required to be taken is
deposited in the public office of the Town Clerk to the
said Council, situate in Memorial Avenue, Kaikohe, and is
open for inspection without fee by all persons during ordinary
office hours. All persons affected by the execution of the
said public work or by the taking of the land must state
their objections, not being an objection to the amount or
payment of compensation, and to send the written objection
within 40 days from the first publication of the notice to
the Town and Country Planning Appeal Board, P.O. Box
12-244, Wellington North. Should an objection be made a
public hearing will be held, unless the objector otherwise
requires, and each objector will be advised of the time and

In the matter of the standing orders of the House of
Representatives relating to Private Bills and in the matter
of a Private Bill intituled "An Act to enable the Marlborough
Agricultural and Pastoral Association to dispose of certain
land in the Borough of Blenheim and to enter into arrange-
ments with the Blenheim Borough Council for the use of
the land":
NOTICE is hereby given that the Marlborough Agricultural
and Pastoral Association, duly incorporated under the Agri-
cultural and Pastoral Societies Act 1908, intends to apply
for leave to bring into the House of Representatives at
the present session a Private Bill intituled as above. The
objects of the said Bill are to authorise the Marlborough
Agricultural and Pastoral Association to transfer the land
known as the Blenheim Showgrounds to the Blenheim
Borough Council for the purposes of recreational sport, park
land, and other purposes and to provide for the investment
and application of the moneys to be received by the said
