CORRIGENDUM
IN the Schedule to the notice entitled "Setting Apart Maori Freehold Land as a Maori Reservation", published in New Zealand Gazette, 8 August 1974, No. 76, p. 1674, for the word "Taumatua" read "Taumataua", which last-mentioned word appears in the original notice signed by the Deputy Secretary for Maori and Island Affairs.

Land Taken for the Auckland-Kumeu Motorway in the City of Auckland

A PROCLAMATION
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, hereby proclaim and declare that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for the Auckland-Kumeu Motorway.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT
ALL that piece of land containing 29.3 perches situated in the City of Auckland, and being Lots 108, 109, and part Lot 110, Deeds Plan 26 (blue). All certificate of title, Volume 576, folio 138, North Auckland Land Registry, limited as to parcels.
Given under the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General, and issued under the Seal of New Zealand, this 20th day of August 1974.

Constitution of Kapiti Borough and Alteration of Boundaries of Hutt County and Horowhenua County

ORDER IN COUNCIL
At the Government House at Wellington this 2nd day of September 1974
Present:
HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Local Government Commission Act 1967, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

This order shall come into effect on 2 September 1974.

The area described in the First Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the district of Hutt County.

The areas described in the First and Second Schedules hereto shall together be constituted a borough under the name of Kapiti Borough (hereinafter referred to as the "said borough").

The area described in the Third Schedule hereto shall be excluded from the district of Hutt County and included in the district of Horowhenua County.

The said borough shall be divided into 3 wards for both representation and financial purposes for a period of 20 years, provided however that the council may at any time by special order made by unanimous resolution and otherwise in accordance with the provisions of section 23 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954 determine that the said borough shall be an undivided borough for financial purposes or for representation and financial purposes. 1974 3

The area described in the Fourth Schedule hereto shall comprise the Paraparaumu Ward of the said borough.

The area described in the Fifth Schedule hereto shall comprise the Paekakariki Ward of the said borough.

The areas described in the Second and Sixth Schedules hereto shall together comprise the Whareroa Ward of the said borough.

Until the council elected pursuant to clause 12 hereof takes office, the council of the said borough (hereinafter referred to as "the interim council") shall comprise:
(a) The three members of the Hutt County Council representing the Paraparaumu Riding at the time of constitution of the said borough, who shall thereupon cease to be members of the Hutt County Council.
(b) Three councillors to be appointed by the Hutt County Council on the nomination of the Paraparaumu Standing Committee of the Hutt County Council, which standing committee shall cease to exist upon the constitution of the said borough; provided however that, if necessary for the purpose of making such nominations, and for no other purpose, the standing committee shall continue to exist until such nominations have been duly made.
(c) The member of the Hutt County Council representing Paekakariki Riding at the time of constitution of the said borough, who shall thereupon cease to be a member of the Hutt County Council.
(d) One councillor to be appointed by the Hutt County Council on the nomination of the Paekakariki County Town Committee, which committee, if necessary for the purpose of making such nomination, and for no other purpose, shall continue to exist notwithstanding the
