The Traffic (Waverley Town District and Patea County)
Notice No. 2, 1974

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waverley Town District and Patea County) Notice No. 2, 1974.

  2. The roads specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

  3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

  4. The Traffic (Waverley Town District and Patea County) Notice No. 1, 1974, dated the 14th day of June 1974†, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, which relates to roads situated within Waverley Town District and Patea County is hereby revoked.

FIRST SCHEDULE

Situated within Waverley Town District and Patea County:

No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth): from the western boundary of Waverley Town District to a point 60 metres measured westerly generally along the said State highway from Swinbourn Street and from the eastern boundary of Waverley Town District to a point 100 metres measured easterly generally along the said State highway from Chester Street.

Chester Street: from a point 800 metres measured northerly generally from the No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) to the northern boundary of Waverley Town District.

Gloag Street: from a point 800 metres measured northerly generally from the No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth) to the northern boundary of Waverley Town District.

SECOND SCHEDULE

Situated within Waverley Town District and Patea County:

No. 3 State Highway (Hamilton-Woodville via New Plymouth): from a point 60 metres measured westerly generally along the said highway from Swinbourn Street to Wilson Street and from a point 100 metres measured easterly generally along the highway from Chester Street to a point 200 metres measured easterly generally from the eastern boundary of Waverley Town District.

The Traffic (Rangiora County) Notice No. 1, 1974

Pursuant to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Rangiora County) Notice No. 1, 1974.

The Traffic (Rangiora County) Notice No. 1, 1974, dated the 13th day of July 1966*, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, which relates to roads situated in Rangiora County at The Pines and Kairaki is hereby revoked.

Declaring Land Taken for the Purposes of the North Auckland Main Trunk Railway at Opua

Pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby taken for railway purposes on and after the 12th day of August 1974.

SCHEDULE

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—BAY OF ISLANDS COUNTY Both those pieces of land described as follows:
m² Being
1267 Part Section 47, Block V, Russell Survey District, being part of C.T. No 17B/682, marked A on plan.
522 Part Section 48, Block V, Russell Survey District, being part of C.T. No. 17B/682, marked C on plan.
As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 28049 (S.O. 49348) deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington, and thereon marked as above mentioned.

Declaring Land Purchased for a Government Work (Railway Purposes) at Papakura and Not Now Required for That Purpose to be Set Apart for State Housing Purposes

Pursuant to section 25 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto is hereby set apart for State housing purposes on and after the 6th day of August 1974.

Pursuant to section 32 of the Public Works Act 1928, the Minister of Railways hereby declares that, a sufficient agreement to that effect having been entered into, the land described in the Schedules hereto is hereby taken for the purposes of the Waitara Branch Railway on and after the 19th day of August 1974.

TARANAKI LAND DISTRICT—WAITARA BOROUGH Both those pieces of land described as follows:

2 Part Lot B, Foreshore, Town of Waitara West, part (0.1 p) C.T. 90/92; coloured blue on plan.
118 Lot 26, D.P. 4455, all C.T. 153/243; coloured sepia (4.7 p) on plan.

Situated in Block V, Waitara Survey District.

As the same are more particularly delineated on the plan marked L.O. 27562 (S.O. 10407) deposited in the office of the Minister of Railways at Wellington and thereon coloured as above mentioned.
