His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to constitute and appoint
The Right Honourable Sir Herbert Richard Churton Wild, K.C.M.G., E.D. and Bar, Chief Justice of New Zealand,
to be Deputy of the Governor-General commencing at 11.30 p.m. on the 10th day of August 1974, and during the period of the temporary absence of the Governor-General from the seat of Government and from New Zealand.
