The Traffic (Waitemata City) Notice No. 1, 1974

PURSUANT to the Transport Act 1962, the Minister of Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

1. This notice may be cited as the Traffic (Waitemata City) Notice No. 1, 1974, and shall come into force on the date of the dissolution by Order in Council of the Waitemata County and the consequent creation of Waitemata City.

2. All roads in the city other than those specified in the First Schedule hereto are hereby excluded from the limitation as to speed imposed by section 52 of the Transport Act 1962.

3. The roads specified in the Second Schedule hereto are hereby declared to be 40-miles-an-hour speed limit areas for the purposes of regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*.

4. The Traffic (Waitemata County) Notice No. 3, 1971, dated the 8th day of December 1971†, the Traffic (Waitemata County) Notice No. 2, 1973, dated the 27th day of July 1973‡, the Traffic (Waitemata County) Notice No. 3, 1973, dated the 6th day of September 1973§, the Traffic (Waitemata County) Notice 1966, dated the 2nd day of June 1966∥, and the Traffic (Waitemata County) Notice No. 2, 1969, dated the 16th day of September 1969#, under section 52 of the Transport Act 1962, and regulation 27A of the Traffic Regulations 1956*, which relate to roads situated within Waitemata County are hereby revoked.
