Authorising the Construction of a Deviation of the North Island Main Trunk Railway (Poro o Tarao Deviation), Waitomo County

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to the Public Works Act 1928, and section 15 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1973, His Excellency the Governor-General at the request of New Zealand Government Railways and acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby authorises the construction of a deviation of the North Island Main Trunk Railway to be known as the North Island Main Trunk Railway (Poro o Tarao Deviation) leaving the existing line at a point 441.1 kilometres measured from Wellington and proceeding in a northerly direction for approximately 3.9 kilometres and terminating at a point 444.9 kilometres measured from Wellington.

PURSUANT to section 4 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby makes the following order.
ORDER

This order may be cited as the Disabled Re-Establishment League Incorporated Order 1974.

The Disabled Re-Establishment League Incorporated, an organisation approved by the Minister of Labour under section 3 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960, is hereby granted exemptions in respect of the sheltered workshops at the under-mentioned addresses:
The corner of Horopito Street and Dominion Road, Mount Eden, Auckland;
21 Lloyd Street, Wellington;
42 Riccarton Road, Christchurch;
Anzac Avenue, Dunedin; and
182 Bay View Road, Dunedin; Leyland Street, Onekawa, Napier, from:(a) All the provisions of every award and agreement which would otherwise be applicable in respect of persons employed in that workshop; and
(b) Section 34 of the Factories Act 1946 and all the provisions of the Annual Holidays Act 1944 and the Minimum Wage Act 1945.

The exemptions granted by this order shall apply only to disabled persons as defined by section 2 of the Disabled Persons Employment Promotion Act 1960.

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL IN COUNCIL
PURSUANT to sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council hereby makes the following order.
ORDER
-
(a) This order may be cited as the Rotorua County Waters and Lake Beds Control Order 1974.
(b) This order shall come into force on the date of its publication in the Gazette.

In this order
“The Act” means the Harbours Act 1950;
“The Council” means the Rotorua County Council;
“Minister” means the Minister of Transport, and includes any officer, person, or authority acting by or under the direction or authority of the Minister. -
There is hereby granted to the Council for a period of 12 years from the commencement of this order, the control of the waters and lake beds within the Rotorua County and adjoining the Whakatane County as described in the First Schedule to this order, subject to the provisions of sections 8A and 165 of the Harbours Act 1950 and to the conditions specified in the Second Schedule to this order.

The Order in Council made on 11 August 1965* granting control of parts of the waters described in the First Schedule to this order and amended on 2 April 1973† is hereby revoked.
