In exercise of the powers conferred on it by section 53 (2)
of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954, resolves by way
of special order as follows:

1. That the number of councillors be increased by 2, that
   is to say from 12 councillors exclusive of the Mayor to
   14 councillors exclusive of the Mayor.

2. That the election of the councillors consequent upon
   this increase shall be incorporated with the triennial elec-
   tion of the Mayor and Council to be held on the 12th day
   of October 1974.

ALEXANDRA BOROUGH COUNCIL
SPECIAL ORDER—INCREASE IN SIZE OF COUNCIL

COUNCILLOR Blackledge moved and Councillor Flannery
seconded that the following resolution, passed by way of
Special Order on the 10th day of June 1974, be confirmed:

That in exercise of the powers conferred on it in that
behalf by section 53 of the Municipal Corporations Act 1954
and all amendments to such Act and any other Act or
authority in any way enabling Council in that behalf, the
Alexandra Borough Council hereby resolves by way of
Special Order that the number of councillors on the Alexandra
Borough Council shall be increased from eight (8) to nine (9)
as from the next local body elections on the 12th day of
October 1974. Motion Carried.

The above resolution was passed at a meeting of the
Alexandra Borough Council held on the 8th day of July
1974.

In witness whereof the Common Seal of the Alexandra
Borough Council was hereunto affixed this 16th day of July
1974.

NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT TO CONDITIONAL USE
The Town and Country Planning Act 1953

NOTICE is hereby given that application has been made by
The Hamilton Cabin Cruiser Club, a duly incorporated
society with registered office at Hamilton for consent to
the use of the under-mentioned property for the purposes
of a club house.

The property is on the north-western side of Miro Street
at the intersection of Miro and Matai Streets in Hamilton.
The property is situated at number 7 Matai Street and is
located in the residential A zone.

The legal description of the land is 34 perches and 0.4 of
a perch, more or less, situated in the City of Hamilton, being
Lot 6 on Block V on Deposited Plan No. 9152, being
portion of Allotment 85 of the Parish of Pukete, being
all the land in certificate of title, Volume 404, folio 153
(South Auckland Registry).

The application may be examined at the office of the
Hamilton City Council, Town Planning Section, Barton Street,
Hamilton, during normal office hours and any person or
body affected may object to the application by notice in
writing to the Town Clerk, Hamilton City Council, P.O.
Box 937, Hamilton not later than 4 p.m. on the 22nd day
of August 1974.

Every objector shall state the grounds of the objection
and whether the objector wishes to be heard by the Council
in support of his objection.
