proceeding north-westerly to the aforementioned trig.; thence
north-westerly along a right line to Ashley Head on the
Puketeraki Range; thence north-westerly generally along the
summit of that range and the Dampier Range to the summit
of the Main Divide; thence north-easterly generally along
the summit of that range to Hope Pass; thence south-easterly
along a right line aligned on Trig. MP, in Block XII, Marion
Survey District, to the Hope River; thence south-westerly
along a right line to Trig. H (Nigger Head), in Block
XV, Marion Survey District; thence south-easterly along a
right line to the northernmost shore of Lake Marion; thence
south-westerly along the eastern shore of that lake and
the middle of Marion Stream to the northern shore of
Lake Sumner; thence south-easterly along that shore to the
confluence of the Hurunui River (north branch), near Trig.
SM, in Block I, Mytholm Survey District; thence due east
along a right line a distance of 5230 metres (3 miles and
20 chains); thence south-easterly along a right line to Ben
Cliberick on the Mytholm Range and north-easterly along
a right line a distance of 3620 metres (2 miles and 20 chains)
to the north-western boundary of Lot 2, D.P. 6080; thence
southerly generally along the north-western and south-western
boundaries of that lot and the production of the last-
mentioned boundary to the middle of the Hurunui River;
thence easterly generally down the middle of that river to
the middle of the Waitohi River; thence westerly generally
up the middle of that river to the middle of Medbury
Road; thence south-westerly generally along the middle of
that road, Waitohi Gorge Road, Murrays Road, Pawseys
Road, and Heathstock Road to the middle of the Waipara
River (north branch); thence westerly generally up the
middle of that river to its source; thence south-westerly
down the middle of a tributary of the Okuku River and
the Okuku River to the point of commencement.

AREA IN HAWARDEN RIDING TO BE TRANSFERRED TO HURUNUI
RIDING
ALL that area in the Canterbury Land District, Waipara
County, bounded by a line commencing at a point in the
middle of the Waitohi River in the middle of Medbury
Road; and proceeding south-westerly, north-westerly and
north-easterly generally along the middle of that road, Waitohi
Gorge Road, and Westenras Road, and its production to
the middle of the Waitohi River; thence south-easterly
generally down the middle of that river to the point of
commencement.

Prices of Butter Intended for Export

PURSUANT to the Dairy Board Act 1961, the Dairy Products
Prices Authority has fixed the prices to be paid for all butter
manufactured from milk, or cream delivered to a dairy factory
in the season commencing on the 1st day of June 1974 and
acquired by the New Zealand Dairy Board, pursuant to
Part II of the said Act, at the several prices and upon
the terms, stipulations, and conditions following, that is to say:

  1. In the case of creamery butter to which is assigned one
    or other of the following respective grades and which is
    allotted points in grading within the range of the following
    respective grade points under the Dairy Produce Regulations
    1938—
    (a) For “Premium” grade, 95 points or over the price of
    67.15c per kilogram;
    (b) For “Finest” grade, 94 points or over but under
    95 points, the price of 66.82c per kilogram;
    (c) For “Finest” grade, 93 points or over but under
    94 points, the basic price of 66.49c per kilogram;
    (d) For “First” grade, 92 points or over but under 93 points,
    the price of 65.94c per kilogram;
    (e) For “First” grade, 90 points or over but under 92 points,
    the price of 64.62c per kilogram;
    (f) For “Second” grade, the price of 62.85c per kilogram;
    (g) For “Third” grade, the price of 55.47c per kilogram.

  2. In the case of whey butter to which is assigned one or
    other of the following grades under the said regulations—
    (a) For “First” grade, the price of 56.49c per kilogram.
    (b) For “Second” grade, the price of 46.49c per kilogram.

  3. Butter shall be packed in boxes each containing a net
    weight of 25 kg 40 g of actual butter, excluding wrapping
    paper.

  4. In computing the weight of butter for which payment
    is to be made by the Board, the weight of all butter
    comprised in any consignment submitted for grading under
    the said regulations shall be ascertained as follows:
    (a) Each box of butter containing a net weight of 25 kg 40 g
    of actual butter, excluding wrapping paper, shall,
    subject as hereinafter provided, be computed at 25 kg;
    (b) The weight of all butter in any such consignment shall
    be determined on the basis of the weight as ascer-
    tained by the grader of the several boxes selected
    by him for weighing and set out in the grader’s
    certificate issued in respect of that consignment, and
    the boxes of butter so weighed shall be taken as
    fixing the average weight for the whole quantity
    of butter comprised in such certificate, overweights
    being averaged with underweights in each such
    certificate in relation to the prescribed weight of
    25 kg 40 g per box;
    (c) If the average weight, ascertained as aforesaid, of the
    butter comprised in any grader’s certificate be less
    than 25 kg 40 g per box, such deficiency shall be
    deducted from a weight of 25 kg per box for the
    purpose of computing payment therefor;
    (d) If the average weight, ascertained as aforesaid, of the
    butter comprised in any grader’s certificate exceeds
    the prescribed weight of 25 kg 40 g per box, then
    the amount of such excess shall not be taken into
    account for the purpose of computing payment
    therefor.

  5. The prices fixed by the Authority shall not be paid for
    any butter manufactured otherwise than in compliance with
    the said regulations.

  6. The price to be paid by the Board for any butter which,
    with the approval or at the request of the Board, is manu-
    factured, prepared, or packed in special containers, or in
    special quantities, or otherwise in any special manner, shall
    be the appropriate price payable for that butter as herein-
    before provided, adjusted by such appropriate addition or
    reduction as corresponds with the additional costs or the
    reduced costs incurred in such special manufacture, prepara-
    tion, or packing. Any such approval or request of the Board
    may include a stipulation limiting the additional costs to
    be incurred and may dispense with the requirements of
    paragraphs 3 and 4 hereof, and, in that event, payment shall
    be made for the actual net weight of the butter exported.
    The adjustment to prices referred to in this paragraph shall
    be computed by the Board and the computation of the
    Board shall be final.

Insurance Companies Deposits Act 1953—Proposed Release
of Deposits

THE Manchester Unity Insurance Company Limited has given
notice to the Public Trustee that it has ceased to carry on
business in New Zealand in respect of the classes of insur-
ance business designated as classes 1 and 4 in the First
Schedule to the above-mentioned Act, and that it proposes
to withdraw the deposits which has been made by it with
