Notice of Intention to Vary Hours of Sale of Liquor at
Licensed Premises: Oamaru Licensing Trust
PURSUANT to section 34B of the Licensing Trusts Act 1949,
I, Gordon Stewart Orr, Secretary for Justice, hereby give
notice that the Oamaru Licensing Trust passed the following
resolution:
That the following be the hours of sale for the Papakaio
Bottle Store:
10 a.m. to 12 noon, and
4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Acquisition of Land for Addition to the Le Roy's Bush
Scenic Reserve
PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice
is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule
hereto, has been acquired as a scenic reserve subject to the
provisions of Part IV of the said Act, as an addition to
the Le Roy's Bush Scenic Reserve.
SCHEDULE
NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—BIRKENHEAD BOROUGH-
PART LE ROY'S BUSH SCENIC RESERVE
LOT 1, D.P. 18382, being part Allotment 57, Parish of
Takapuna, situated in Block XII, Waitemata Survey District:
area, 2332 square metres, more or less.

Licensing Taumarunui County Council to Occupy a Site for
a Water Supply Intake Pipe at Lake Taupo
PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Peter
Edward Muers, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of
powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license
and permit the Taumarunui County Council (hereinafter
called the licensee, which term shall include its successors
or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the bed of Lake Taupo
as shown on plan marked M.D. 15241 and deposited in the
office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington, for the
purpose of maintaining thereon a water supply intake pipe
as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and
enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and
conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.
SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS
(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so
far as applicable, apply hereto.
(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the
1st day of May 1974.
(3) The annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be
ten cents (10c) payable on demand; provided always that
the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end
of the first year or subsequent year of the said term.

Price Order No. 2282 (Island Bananas)
PURSUANT to the Control of Prices Act 1947, I, Maurice John
Belgrave, pursuant to a delegation from the Secretary of Trade
and Industry acting under a delegation from the Price
Tribunal, hereby make the following price order:
-
This order may be cited as Price Order No. 2282 and
shall come into force on the 22nd day of July 1974. -
(1) Price Order No. 2273* is hereby revoked.
(2) The revocation of the said order shall not affect the
liability of any person for any offence in relation thereto
committed before the coming into force of this order.
- References in this order to metropolitan areas are
references to the metropolitan areas described in the Schedule
hereto.
APPLICATION OF THIS ORDER
- This order applies with respect to Island bananas sold by
way of retail in New Zealand.
MAXIMUM RETAIL PRICES OF ISLAND BANANAS
- (1) The maximum price that may be charged or received
by any retailer for Island bananas to which this order applies
shall be:
(a) When sold by a retailer carrying on business in any of
the metropolitan areas of Auckland, Wellington,
Christchurch, or Dunedin, or in any of the Cities
or Boroughs of Whangarei, Takapuna, Hamilton,
Tauranga, Rotorua, Gisborne, New Plymouth, Strat-
ford, Hawera, Wanganui, Palmerston North, Napier,
Hastings, Masterton, Blenheim, Nelson, Greymouth,
Timaru, Westport, Oamaru, Balclutha, Gore, or
Invercargill—
18 cents per lb.
(b) When sold by a retailer carrying on business else-
where—
1 lb, 19 cents;
2 lb, 37 cents;
3 lb, 56 cents;
4 lb, 74 cents;
5 lb, 93 cents;
6 lb, $1.11.
Fractions of a pound shall be calculated at the rate of
19 cents per lb. Quantities in excess of 6 lb shall be calculated
at the rate of 18½ cents per lb.
(2) If in respect of any lot of bananas the price calculated
in accordance with the foregoing provisions of this clause is
not an exact number of cents, the maximum price of the lot
shall be computed to the nearest whole cent.
PROVISIONS FOR SPECIAL PRICES
- Notwithstanding anything to the contrary in the foregoing
provisions of this order, and subject to such conditions, if any,
as it thinks fit, the Tribunal, on application by any retailer,
may authorise special maximum prices in respect of any Island
bananas to which this order applies where special circumstances exist, or for any reason extraordinary charges (freight
or otherwise) are incurred by the retailer. Any authority given
by the Tribunal under this clause may apply with respect to
a specified lot or consignment of bananas, or may relate
generally to all Island bananas to which this order applies sold
by the retailer while the approval remains in force.
DUTY IMPOSED ON RETAILERS
- Every retailer who offers or exposes for sale in any shop
any Island bananas to which this order applies shall keep in
a prominent position, in such proximity to the bananas to
which it relates as to be obviously in relation thereto, a
ticket, placard, or label on which shall be stated in legible
and prominent characters the following particulars:
(a) The retail price per pound of the bananas. Retailers to
whom clause 5 (1) (b) of this order applies shall
state at least the prices for 1 lb and 2 lb lots.
(b) The word “Island”.
