Acquisition of Land as Scenic Reserve

NOTICE is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired as a scenic reserve, subject to the provisions of Part IV of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, to form part of the Waioeka Gorge Scenic Reserve.

The Road Classification (Cheviot County) Notice No. 1, 1974

PURSUANT to regulation 3 of the Heavy Motor Vehicle Regulations 1969* the Secretary for Transport hereby gives the following notice.

NOTICE

  1. This notice may be cited as the Road Classification (Cheviot County) Notice No. 1, 1974.
  2. The Cheviot County Council’s proposed classification of the roads as set out in the Schedule hereto is hereby approved.
  3. So much of the notice dated the 11th day of February 1952†, which relates to the classification of the roads described in the Schedule hereto, is hereby revoked.

Rolleston Street.

Licensing the Waimakariri Sailing and Power Boat Club (Inc.) to Occupy a Site for a Slipway on Saltwater Creek

PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Peter Edward Muers of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit the Waimakariri Sailing and Power Boat Club (Inc.) (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of Saltwater Creek as shown on plan marked M.D. 15230 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a slipway as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE
CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be 14 years from the 1st day of July 1974.

(3) The premium payable by the licensee shall be twenty dollars ($20) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be twenty dollars ($20); provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.

Licensing Franich Brothers Ltd. to Occupy a Site for a Barge-Landing and Launch-Mooring at Mangawhare, Kaipara Harbour

PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Peter Edward Muers of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit Franich Brothers Ltd. (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the sea at Mangawhare, Kaipara Harbour, as shown on plan marked M.D. 8425 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a barge-landing and launch-mooring as shown on the said plan, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

(3) The premium payable by the licensee shall be six dollars ($6) and the annual sum so payable by the licensee shall be twenty dollars ($20); provided always that the Minister may review the annual sum payable at the end of the first year or any subsequent year of the said term.

(4) The licensee shall not discharge any sawdust or other refuse into the harbour, or permit any person to discharge any sawdust or other refuse belonging to the licensee into the harbour.

Environmental Impact Report Notified—Stage 1 of the Auckland Rapid Transit Scheme

THE Commission for the Environment gives notice that it has received an environmental impact report on stage 1 of the Auckland rapid transit scheme. Representations in writing on the environmental aspects of the project, as it is explained in the report, will be received at the office of the Commission, P.O. Box 12-042, Wellington, until Friday, 26 July 1974.

Copies of the report may be obtained at the A.R.T. Project Office, 149-155 Parnell Road, Auckland. Copies of the report, together with extensive background information, are also available at the Auckland Public Library.
