Pursuant to section 35 of the Public Works Act 1928,
the Minister of Works and Development hereby declares
the land described in the Schedule hereto to be Crown
land subject to the Land Act 1948 as from the 19th day of
June 1974.

OTAGO LAND DISTRICT
All that piece of land containing 3 acres 3 roods 18.7 perches
situated in Block II, Teviot Survey District, being part
Sections 115, 116, and 117; as the same is more particularly
delineated on the plan marked M.O.W. 7024 (S.O. 13249)
deposited in the office of the Minister of Works and Develop-
ment at Wellington and thereon coloured orange. All Gazette
notice 255423 (New Zealand Gazette, 7 February 1963, No. 8,
p. 153).

Declaring Land Acquired for a Government Work and Not

Import Control Exemption Notice (No. 19) 1974

Pursuant to regulation 17 of the Import Control Regula-
tions 1973*, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby gives
notice as follows:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control
    Exemption Notice (No. 19) 1974.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the day after
    the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. Goods of the class specified and for the purposes of
    the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff item in the
    Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or
    manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the
    requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

Pursuant to regulation 17 of the Import Control Regula-
tions 1973*, the Minister of Trade and Industry hereby
gives notice as follows:

  1. (a) This notice may be cited as the Import Control
    Exemption Notice (No. 20) 1974.
    (b) This notice shall come into force on the day after
    the date of its notification in the New Zealand Gazette.

  2. Goods of the class specified and for the purposes of
    the Customs Tariff falling within the Tariff item in the
    Schedule hereto, imported from and being the produce or
    manufacture of any country, are hereby exempted from the
    requirement of a licence under the said regulations.

Notice Under Section 4 of the National Savings Act 1940

Pursuant to section 4 of the National Savings Act 1940,
the Minister of Finance hereby prescribes as follows:

(a) The thirty-fifth investment period during which invest-
ments by way of deposits in investment accounts
may be made shall be the period of 1 year com-
mencing on the 1st day of July 1974, and ending
on the 30th day of June 1975;
(b) Subject to the provisions of the said Act, the rate
of interest to be paid on such investments made
during such investment period shall be 3Β½ percent
per annum;
(c) Subject to the provisions of the said Act, moneys
invested as aforesaid, during such investment period,
shall be repayable on the 30th day of June 1977,
provided that where interest is not withdrawn by
the investor in accordance with section 8 (2) of the
said Act and is added to and becomes part of the
principal moneys of the investor under section 8 (3)
of the said Act, the amount of such interest, together
with any interest thereon, shall be repayable on
the 30th day of June 1976.

Notice Under Section 5 of the National Savings Act 1940

Pursuant to section 5 of the National Savings Act 1940,
the Minister of Finance hereby authorises the Boards of
Trustees of the under-mentioned savings banks (being savings
banks established under the Trustee Savings Banks Act 1948)
to receive investments by way of deposits in investment
accounts under the said Act during the investment period
commencing on the 1st day of July 1974, and ending on
the 30th day of June 1975:

Auckland Savings Bank;
Taranaki Savings Bank;
Otago Savings Bank; and
Southland Savings Bank.

Revocation of the Reservation Over Part of a Reserve

Pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation over that
part of the reserve for scenic purposes described in the
Schedule hereto.
