PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date hereof, be added to and form part of Urewera National Park and shall hereafter be managed, administered and dealt with by the Urewera National Park Board in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

PURSUANT to section 10 of the National Parks Act 1952, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby declares that the land described in the Schedule hereto shall, as from the date hereof, be added to and form part of Abel Tasman National Park, and shall hereafter be managed, administered, and dealt with by the Abel Tasman National Park Board in accordance with the provisions of the said Act.

NELSON LAND DISTRICT—GOLDEN BAY COUNTY
ALL those areas of Crown land containing 576.4844 hectares, more or less, being:
Firstly, Sections 32, 33, and 34, Square 12, situated in Blocks III and IV, Totaranui Survey District: area, 87.9683 hectares, more or less (S.O. Plan 11074).
Secondly, parts Sections 1 and 2, Block I, and Sections 2 and 3, Block II, Totaranui Survey District: area, 202.2745 hectares, more or less. Balance certificate of title, Volume 50, folio 170 (now cancelled), (S.O. Plans 4840, 4846).
Thirdly, Lots 1, 2, and 3, D.P. 8095, being part Section 5, Square 12, situated in Blocks III and IV, Totaranui Survey District, together with a right of way over part of the land in certificate of title, Volume 65, folio 269, appurtenant to the land formerly in certificate of title, Volume 65, folio 263, for the term of 999 years from the 1st day of January 1902, as created by grant No. 31906: area, 74.3862 hectares, more or less. Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy
PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces:
ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY
Commander (temp. Captain) G. A. Lawrence to be Captain with seniority from 31 December 1973 and effect from 18 March 1974.
Commander Michael Newcome Waymouth is placed on the Retired List with effect from 8 January 1974.
Commander P. K. Laker, C.ENG., M.I.E.R.E.: With reference to the notice published in the Gazette, 21 February 1974, No. 15, p. 309, for the date “4 January 1974” substitute “8 January 1974”.
Lieutenant Commander S. C. Stephens to be temp. Commander with effect from 22 May 1974.
Lieutenant Commander Howard Richard Hume, M.SC., is placed on the Emergency List of the RNZN with effect from 30 April 1974.
Lieutenant Commander Kenneth Ivor Bradbury (Rtd) reverts to the Retired List with effect from 1 March 1974.
Surgeon Lieutenant Commander D. Urquhart-Hay, M.B., CH.B(N.Z.) F.R.C.S.(ENG.), F.R.A.C.S., to be Surgeon Commander with seniority and effect from 1 May 1974.
The appointment of Lieutenant Commander Clifford John Bardrick is reduced and he is placed on the Retired List of the RNZN with effect from 26 March 1974.
The appointment of Lieutenant Commander C. A. Dixon, C.ENG., F.I.MAR.E., is extended to 7 September 1980.
Lieutenant E. D. Glass, B.SC., DIP.TCHG., to be temp. Lieutenant Commander with effect from 29 April 1974.
Lieutenant B. A. Savage to be acting Lieutenant Commander with effect from 6 May 1974 and temp. Lieutenant Commander with effect from 13 May 1974.
