6. The Invercargill Reserves Rural Fire District shall be administered, for the purposes of the said Act, by the Invercargill City Council, and the said Invercargill City Council is hereby constituted as the rural fire committee of the Invercargill Reserves Rural Fire District for this purpose.

PART II—REGULATIONS

7. The Rural Fire Committee Regulations, shall, so far as they are applicable, and with the necessary modifications, apply to the Invercargill City Council as the rural fire committee of the Invercargill Reserves Rural Fire District; and these regulations shall be deemed to be special regulations for the purpose of those regulations.

SOUTHLAND LAND DISTRICT—SOUTHLAND CONSERVANCY

Invercargill Reserves Rural Fire District

Firstly, all that area in the Southland Land District, Southland County, containing approximately 2,300 acres, situated in Block XXII, Invercargill Hundred, and bounded generally as follows:

Towards the north-west by Section 70, parts of Section 69, and part of Section 68, part of Lot 1, Deposited Plan 2777, Sections 67 and 66, the crossing of a public road, Sections 65, 64, and part of Section 63, Block II, Invercargill Hundred; towards the north by Section 97, the crossing of a public road and Section 98, Block XXII, Invercargill Hundred; towards the east by the eastern side of the Waimatua-Kennington Road, by the crossing of a public road and Sections 107, 108, 109, 110, and 111, Block XXIII, Invercargill Hundred, and the crossing of a public road; towards the south by the south side of a public road; towards the east by part of Section 39; towards the south by part of Section 38, and the crossing of a public road; towards the west and south by Section 26; towards the west generally by the crossing of a public road and Section 19, again towards the south by the south side of Wixon Road, towards the west generally by the crossing of a public road, Sections 31 and 27, the crossing of a public road, Section 4, the crossing of a public road, Sections 2, Parts of 3 and 6, the crossing of a public road, and by Section 84, all of Block XXII aforesaid, to the point of commencement.

Secondly all that area in the Southland Land District, Southland County, containing approximately 6,250 acres, situated in Blocks XV and XXIII, New River Hundred, and bounded generally as follows:

Towards the north by Section 18, the crossing of a public road, part of Section 7, a public road and other part of Section 7, Block XV, New River Hundred; towards the south and east generally by the western bank of the Oreti River to the intersection of Municipal Endowment, Section 5, Block XXIII, New River Hundred, thence south and west by the aforesaid section to the mean high water mark Foveaux Strait following in a north-westerly direction along Oreti Beach to the point of commencement.

As shown on plan S.182/2 deposited in the Head Office of the New Zealand Forest Service at Wellington.

Exempting Land in Nelson Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the land described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.

PART Section 68, Town of Denniston, situated in Block VI, Kawatiri Survey District: area, 505 square metres, more or less. All certificate of title No. 123/4, Nelson Registry.

Part Section 36 and Section 37, Town of Denniston, situated in Block VI, Kawatiri Survey District: total area, 246 square metres, more or less. All certificates of title No. 22/285 and 13/83, Nelson Registry.

Part Section 60, Town of Denniston, situated in Block VI, Kawatiri Survey District: area, 455 square metres, more or less. All certificate of title No. 14/224, Nelson Registry.

Part Sections 73 and 74, Town of Denniston, situated in Block VI, Kawatiri Survey District: total area, 1410 square metres, more or less. Balance certificates of title No. 13/223 and No. 13/224 at the Nelson Registry.

Residence site licence 1077, being Crown Land situated in Block VI, Kawatiri Survey District (as located on S.O. Plan 10575): area, 809 square metres, more or less. All certificate of title No. 1D/369.

Reserving nevertheless unto the Crown, firstly, in terms of section 168A of the Coal Mines Act 1925, all coal existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land, and secondly, in terms of section 8 of the Mining Act 1971, every mineral existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land.
