INSURANCE COMPANIES’ DEPOSITS ACT 1953
PROPOSED RELEASE OF DEPOSITS
Wairarapa Automobile Association Mutual Insurance Company has given notice to the Public Trustee that it has ceased to carry on business in New Zealand in respect of all classes of insurance business, and that it proposes to withdraw all deposits which have been made by it with the Public Trustee pursuant to section 3 of the abovementioned Act.
The Public Trustee hereby gives notice, pursuant to section 19 (3) of the above-mentioned Act, that subject to his being satisfied that all of the liabilities of Wairarapa Automobile Association Mutual Insurance Company in New Zealand in respect of all classes of insurance business have been fully liquidated or provided for, he proposes to release to A.A. Mutual Insurance Company on or after 30 April 1974 the amounts deposited with him by Wairarapa Automobile Association Mutual Insurance Company.
Any objections to the release of the amounts deposited should be lodged with the Public Trustee at the Public Trust Office, Lambton Quay, Wellington 1, on or before 23 April 1974.

The Standards Act 1965—Draft Amendments to New Zealand Standard Specifications Available for Comment
PURSUANT to subsection (3) of section 23 of the Standards Act 1965, notice is hereby given that the following draft amendments are being circulated:

All persons who may be affected by these amendments and who desire to comment thereon, may, on application, obtain a copy on loan from the Standards Association of New Zealand, World Trade Center, 15–23 Sturdee Street (or Private Bag), Wellington 1.
The closing date for the receipt of comment is 3 May 1974.

Pursuant to section 17 of the Standards Act 1965, the Standards Council, on 5 April 1974, endorsed the undermentioned overseas specifications as suitable for use in New Zealand:
