Acquisition of Land as a Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, notice is hereby given that the land described in the Schedule hereto has been acquired as a reserve for recreation purposes, subject to the provisions of Part II of the said Act.

Environmental Impact Report Notified—Otahuhu B Power Station

THE Commission for the Environment gives notice that it has received an environmental impact report on a 100 MW addition to the Otahuhu oil-fired power station.

Representations in writing on the environmental aspects of the project, as it is explained in the report, will be received at the office of the Commission, P.O. Box 12-042, Wellington, until Friday, 3 May 1974.

Copies of the report may be obtained at the office of New Zealand Electricity Department, Hobson Street, Auckland, or from the Commission for the Environment, 53 Murphy Street, Wellington.

Licensing Northland Harbour Board to Occupy a Site for a Wharf at Limestone Island

PURSUANT to section 162 of the Harbours Act 1950, I, Peter Edward Muers of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport, hereby license and permit the Northland Harbour Board (hereinafter called the licensee, which term shall include its successors or assigns unless the context requires a different construction) to use and occupy a part of the foreshore and bed of the harbour at Limestone Island as shown on plans marked M.D. 2470 and 3001 and deposited in the office of the Ministry of Transport at Wellington, for the purpose of maintaining thereon a wharf as shown on the said plans, such licence to be held and enjoyed by the licensee upon and subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the Schedule hereto.

SCHEDULE

CONDITIONS

(1) This licence is subject to the Foreshore Licence Regulations 1960, and the provisions of those regulations shall, so far as applicable, apply hereto.

(2) The term of the licence shall be one year from the 1st day of March 1974.

(3) The annual rental payable by the licensee shall be ten cents (10c) payable on demand.

Narcotics Act 1965—Notice of Authorisation

NOTICE is hereby given that the Minister of Health, acting under section 13 (1) of the Narcotics Act 1965, has authorised William James Alexander Livsey, public health pharmacist, of Auckland, to enter the premises of any person who carries on the business of a producer, manufacturer, seller, or distributor of any narcotic, or who otherwise undertakes the supply or administration of any narcotic, and to demand the production of, and to inspect any books or documents relating to dealings in any narcotic and to inspect, weigh, measure, and record the stocks of narcotics.

National Roads Board—Declaring State Highway to be a Limited Access Road

It is notified that the National Roads Board, by resolution dated 20 March 1974, and pursuant to section 4 of the Public Works Amendment Act 1963, hereby declares that part of No. 1 State Highway (Awanui-Bluff) from its junction with McIntyre Road to its junction with Vinegar Hill road, as more particularly shown on sheet 1 of plan M.O.W. 35981 and the accompanying schedule held in the office of the Resident Engineer, Ministry of Works and Development, Wanganui, and there available for public inspection, to be a limited access road.
