Exempting Land in Wellington Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

DENIS BLUNDELL, Governor-General

PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the land described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

SECTION 32, Town of Wanganui situated in Block IX, Westmere Survey District: area, 1014 square metres, more or less. All certificate of title, Volume 331, folio 9 (A Plan 1980).

Reserving, nevertheless, unto the Crown firstly, in terms of section 168A of the Coal Mines Act 1925, all coal existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land, and secondly, in terms of section 8 of the Mining Act 1971, every mineral existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land.

As witness the hand of His Excellency the Governor-General this 19th day of February 1974.

Exempting Land in Southland Land District from the Operation of Part III of the Coal Mines Act 1925

PURSUANT to section 171 of the Coal Mines Act 1925, I, Sir Edward Denis Blundell, the Governor-General of New Zealand, do hereby exempt the land described in the Schedule hereto from the operation of Part III of the said Act.

SCHEDULE

ALL Section 102, being part Section 9, Block XXVII, Wairaki Survey District, Wallace County, containing 22.9280 hectares, formerly part of Coal Mining Lease 7054, delineated in red on Ref. Plan S.O. 8273 held in Head Office, Mines Department, Wellington.

This notice revokes N.Z. Gazette, No. 121, page 2752, dated 19 December 1973.

Reserving, nevertheless, unto the Crown firstly, in terms of section 168A of the Coal Mines Act 1925, all coal existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land, and secondly, in terms of section 8 of the Mining Act 1971, every mineral existing in its natural condition on or under the surface of the said land.
