Resumption of Unformed Road in Block IV, Tauhoa Survey
District, Rodney County

PURSUANT to section 191B of the Counties Act 1956, the
Minister of Lands hereby declares that the land described
in the Schedule hereto has been transferred to the Crown
by the Rodney County Council, pursuant to the said
section 191B, and as from the date of this notice the land
shall be deemed to be Crown land subject to the Land
Act 1948.

NORTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT

UNFORMED road adjoining part Pakiri No. 3 Block, and
Lot 2, D.P. 18438, being part Pakiri No. 3 Block, situated
in Block IV, Tauhoa Survey District: area, 1239 square
metres, more or less (S.O. Plan 47535).

Revocation of the Reservation Over Reserves

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby revokes the reservation over the
lands described in the Schedule hereto as reserves for the
purposes specified at the end of the respective descriptions
of the said lands.

SCHEDULE

NELSON LAND DISTRICT—BULLER COUNTY

SECTIONS 8, 18, 29, and 34, Block I, Whakapoai Survey
District, and Sections 7 and 9, Block V, Whakapoai Survey
District: area, 67.3116 hectares, more or less (S.O. Plan
6543L), reserves for public utility purposes.

Section 30, Block I, Whakapoai Survey District: area,
8.9966 hectares, more or less (S.O. Plan 6543L'), reserve for
public school site purposes.

Declaration That Land is a Public Reserve

PURSUANT to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the
Minister of Lands hereby notifies that the following resolution
was passed by the Taupo Borough Council on the 26th
day of November 1973:

"That, in exercise of the powers conferred on it by
section 13 of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, the Taupo
Borough Council hereby resolves that the piece of land
held by the Mayor, Councillors, and Citizens of the said
Borough in fee simple, and described in the Schedule hereto,
shall be, and the same is hereby declared to be, a public
reserve for recreation purposes within the meaning of the
said Act".

RANGATIRA A126 Block, situated in Block II, Tauhara
Survey District: area, 809 square metres, more or less. All

Open Season for Game in Acclimatisation Districts—South Island

This notice applies only to the open season for game in those
acclimatisation districts which fall within the South Island.

PURSUANT to the Wildlife Act 1953, the Minister of Internal Affairs
declares an open season for game in the acclimatisation districts
and subject to the conditions specified in the Second Schedule
hereto; excepting the closed game areas published in the Gazette
of 25 March 1970, and subject to any amendments in any sub-
sequent Gazette notice and in this notice.

The attention of sportsmen and others is drawn to the daily
game possession limits set forth in the First Schedule hereto and
to the provisions of the Wildlife Act 1953, and the Wildlife Regulations 1955.

FIRST SCHEDULE

DAILY GAME POSSESSION LIMIT
EXCEPT where all game is labelled with the following details:
(a) The name and address of the person by whom the game was
taken;
(b) The number of the licence to hunt or kill game held by the
person by whom the game was taken;
(c) The name of the acclimatisation society by which that
licence was issued; and
(d) The date on which the game was taken.
No person shall have in his possession on any one day game in
excess of the following numbers:

Saturday, 4 May 1974: A number of game corresponding to the
number specified in this notification as the daily bag limit.
Sunday, 5 May 1974: Twice the number of game specified for
Saturday, 4 May 1974.
Every subsequent day: As for Saturday, 4 May 1974.

Shooting hours: 6.30 a.m. to 7.00 p.m., except that during the
period 4 June 1974 to 6 October 1974 inclusive, and midnight 7
February 1975 to 23 March 1975 at midnight inclusive, Canada
goose may be shot 24 hours per day.
Decoy limit: No limit.

Special Conditions

  1. A licence issued subject to this notification to hunt or kill
    game shall entitle the holder thereof to hunt or kill game on that
    portion of the bank and bed of the Rakaia River which lies within
    the North Canterbury Acclimatisation District, and on that portion
    of the flood bed of the Rangitata River which lies within the South
    Canterbury Acclimatisation District, during the period and subject,
    mutatis mutandis, to the conditions prescribed in this notification
    fixing the open season for those districts.

  2. A licence issued pursuant to this notification to hunt or kill
    game shall entitle the holder thereof to hunt or kill game in the
    South Canterbury Acclimatisation District, during the period and
    subject, mutatis mutandis, to the conditions prescribed in this
    notification fixing an open season for game in that district.
