Tariff Notice No. 1974/4—Application for Approval

NOTICE is hereby given that an application has been made to the Minister of Customs for concessionary entry of the following goods at the rates of Customs duty shown:

(a) Shrink or heat wrapping, packaging or sealing machines
(b) Clip and similar tying or sealing machines
(c) Vacuum and volumetric filling or packaging machines
(d) Bagging and sacking machines		 Free 20%*

*or such lower rates of duty as the Minister may in any case direct

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of this application should do so in writing on or before 7 February 1974.
Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item and description of goods concerned, be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to:
(a) The range of equivalent goods manufactured locally;
(b) The proportion of New Zealand and imported material used in manufacture;
(c) Present and potential output; and
(d) Details of factory cost in terms of materials, labour, overhead, etc.

Tariff Notice No. 1974/5—Applications for Determination

NOTICE is hereby given that applications have been made for determination of rates of duty by the Minister of Customs as follows:

11092 39.02.151 Sheet of co-extruded or co-acial film made from any combinations of nylon, ionomer or surlyn, polyethylene, polypropelene and co-polymers thereof 25%* ..

*or such lower rate of duty as the Minister may in any case direct

Any person wishing to lodge an objection to the granting of these applications should do so in writing on or before 7 February 1974.
Submissions should include a reference to the application number, Tariff item and description of goods concerned, be addressed to the Comptroller of Customs, Private Bag, Wellington, and supported by information as to:
(a) The quality, range, supply, etc., of the above-described goods produced in New Zealand; and
(b) The landed cost and selling price, including c.d.v., and cost into store in terms of f.o.b., insurance, freight, exchange, other landing charges, duty, etc., of equivalent goods of overseas origin.
