Appointment of a Stipendiary Magistrate to Exercise Jurisdiction in the Children's Court
PURSUANT to section 27 of the Child Welfare Act 1925,
His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to
appoint
Ian Hay, Esquire,
Stipendiary Magistrate to exercise jurisdiction in the Children’s
Court established at Wellington.

Appointment of Air Services Licensing Authority
PURSUANT to section 4 (1) of the Air Services Licensing Act
1951, as amended by section 2 (1) of the Air Services
Licensing Amendment Act 1967, His Excellency, the
Governor-General has been pleased to appoint
Mr G. K. Grocott
as a member of the Air Services Licensing Authority for
a period expiring on 31 December 1975.

Canterbury Regional Planning Authority
WHEREAS by notice published in the Gazette, 9 June 1955,
No. 38, p. 928, the preparation of the Regional Planning
Scheme for Christchurch was approved; and whereas to
extend the area to be considered in the scheme, pursuant
to section 7 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953,
the Minister of Works and Development on 31 January
1973 recommended to Councils exercising jurisdiction within
the extended area that they unite in the preparation of
an enlarged Scheme: and whereas those Councils did not
so unite, now therefore:
- Pursuant to section 7 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, on and from 1 April 1974 the Councils whose names are set out in the Schedule hereto shall be united into the Canterbury Regional Planning Authority, for the purposes of preparing a Regional Planning Scheme for the whole of the area within their respective jurisdictions.
- Pursuant to section 14 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1953, the Christchurch City Council shall be the Principal Council.
- This notice supersedes the notice in the Gazette, 9 June 1955, No. 38, p. 928.
