Board Appointed to Have Control of Lake Okataina Scenic Reserves

DENIS BLUNDELL, Governor-General

PURSUANT to subsection (1) of section 17 of the Maori Purposes Act 1931 and the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, His Excellency the Governor-General hereby appoints

The Commissioner of Crown Lands for the South Auckland Land District, ex officio,

Albert Te Auheke Bennett,
Henry Ariariterangi Mitchell,
Kapua to Ua,
Te Mutu Rikihana, and
Charles Sergeant

to be a special Board by the name of the Lake Okataina Scenic Board to have control of the reserves described in the Schedule hereto, subject to the provisions of the Reserves and Domains Act 1953, as scenic reserves.

SOUTH AUCKLAND LAND DISTRICT—ROTORUA COUNTY

LAKE OKATAINA SCENIC RESERVES

(a) Lake Okataina Scenic Reserve being Sections 5 and 6, Block XVI, Rotoiti Survey District, Okataina 12 Block, Parts Okataina Numbers 3, 4, 5, 6B, 7, and 8 Blocks, Parts Rotoiti 14 Block, all situated in Blocks XI, XII, XV, and XVI, Rotoiti Survey District and Blocks VII, IV, and VIII, Tarawera Survey District: area, 4388.4024 hectares, more or less. (S.O. Plan 24932, M.L. Plans 20421, 20422, 20423, 20424, 20629, 20630, 36326.)

(b) Unnamed Scenic Reserve being Waione 1A Block, situated in Block XVI, Rotoiti Survey District: area, 27.5186 hectares, more or less. (S.O. Plan 26770.)

CHAPLAINS' BRANCH

The Reverend David Shirley Harrison, (Anglican) is retired in the relative rank of Squadron Leader with effect from 15 November 1974.

WOMEN'S ROYAL NEW ZEALAND AIR FORCE

Section Officer H. J. Tapsell to be temp. Flight Officer with effect from 1 August 1974.

RESERVE OF AIR FORCE OFFICERS

Extension of Commission

The commission of Flying Officer M. J. Andrew is extended to 30 July 1979.

Transfer to Retired List

Wing Commander Robert Duncan McVicker, A.F.C., is transferred to the Retired List "A" with effect from 9 September 1974.
