Vesting Reclaimed Land in the City of Manukau

ORDER IN COUNCIL

At the Government Buildings at Wellington this 21st day of October 1974

Present:

THE HON. R. J. TIZARD PRESIDING IN COUNCIL

PURSUANT to section 175B (2) of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General, acting by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, hereby vests in the Manukau City Council the land described in the Schedule hereto, which land was authorised for reclamation by an Order in Council of 26 February 1968*, such land to be vested as a recreation reserve pursuant to the Reserves and Domains Act 1953.


SCHEDULE

  1. All that piece of reclaimed Crown foreshore at Tamaki River, situated in Block III, Otahuhu Survey District, containing 2050 square metres as shown marked A on plan S.O. 49462, now numbered M.D. 15328.

  2. All that piece of reclaimed Crown foreshore at Tamaki River, situated in Block III, Otahuhu Survey District, containing 1570 square metres as shown marked B on plan S.O. 49462, now numbered M.D. 15328.

The District Land Registrar is hereby authorised to make such entries in his register as are necessary to give effect to this Order.

Appointments, Promotions, Extensions, Transfers, Resignations, and Retirements of Officers of the Royal New Zealand Navy

PURSUANT to section 35 of the Defence Act 1971, His Excellency the Governor-General has approved the following appointments, promotions, extensions, transfers, resignations, and retirements of officers of the New Zealand Naval Forces:

ROYAL NEW ZEALAND NAVY

Commander C. J. Steward to be temp. Captain with effect from 12 July 1974.

Lieutenant Commander John Burton, C.ENG., is placed on the Retired List with effect from 24 September 1974.

The appointment of Lieutenant Commander D. Bell is extended to 12 May 1980.

Lieutenant Commander Ronald Scarborough is placed on the Retired List with effect from 21 August 1974.

The appointment of Chaplain T. D. Hill, (Anglican) is extended to 28 November 1983.

Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant Commander) B. A. Savage to be Lieutenant Commander with seniority and effect from 2 August 1974.

The appointment of Lieutenant C. P. C. Calkin is extended to 1 September 1975.

Lieutenant J. C. Shackell to be temp. Lieutenant Commander with effect from 20 July 1974.

The appointment of Lieutenant Michael John Murdoch is terminated and he is placed on the Emergency List of the RNZN with effect from 22 August 1974.

The appointment of Lieutenant (Sp) Cameron Brett Cochrane Hill is reduced to 19 July 1974, and he is placed on the Emergency List of the RNZN with effect from 1 August 1974.

Lieutenant Arthur Michael Rickett is placed on the Emergency List of the RNZN with effect from 30 May 1974.

The appointment of Instructor Lieutenant J. McM. Berridge, B.SC., DIP. TCHG., is extended to 11 January 1978.

Sub. Lieutenant N. Davies to be Lieutenant with seniority from 2 December 1973 and effect from 4 July 1974.

Sub Lieutenant (temp. Lieutenant) R. T. Jackson, B.SC., to be Lieutenant with seniority from 8 July 1973, and effect from 27 June 1974.

Sub Lieutenant R. D Cass to be Lieutenant with seniority and effect from 6 August 1974.

Ensign (temp. Sub Lieutenant) L. C. Spriggens, B.E.(MECH.) to be Sub Lieutenant with seniority from 5 January 1974, and effect from 12 July 1974.

Midshipman (temp. Ensign) W. ten Hove to be Ensign with seniority from 4 January 1974 and effect from 12 July 1974.

The appointment of Midshipman John Crusoe Hitchings is terminated with effect from 20 July 1974.

David William Palmer is appointed to the RNZN on a 12 year commission on the General List, in the rank of Lieutenant with seniority from 1 October 1967 and effect from 22 August 1974, and temp. Lieutenant Commander with effect from 2 September 1974.
