Notice of Approval of Bylaws

PURSUANT to section 165 (9) of the Harbours Act 1950,
1, Peter Edward Muers, of the Ministry of Transport, in
exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport
hereby approve the Porirua City General Bylaws 1966,
Part XIX, Beaches: Bathing and Control, Amendment
No. 34/73, as adopted at a meeting of the Porirua City
Council on 28 November 1973 and confirmed by the Council
on 16 January 1974.

Approval of Motor Cycle Safety Helmets in Terms of Traffic Regulations 1956


PURSUANT to clause (2) of regulation 29 of the Traffic
Regulations 1956*, the Secretary for Transport hereby
approves for the purpose of the said regulations, of the
motorcycle safety helmet of the make and type described
in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

SAFETY helmets manufactured by Thetford Moulded Products
Ltd. and marked “Centurian X500 GT” and bearing the
certification mark of the British Standards Institution, standard
number “BSS 1869” and the licence number 3393.

Division of East Otago Pest Destruction District into Wards (Notice No. 946 Ag. 20891A)


PURSUANT to section 21 of the Agricultural Pests Destruc-
tion Act 1967, the East Otago Pest Destruction Board hereby
gives notice that the East Otago Pest Destruction District
which was constituted by Order in Council on the 25th day
of March 1974* is hereby divided into wards, the names
and boundaries of which are specified in the Schedule hereto.


SCHEDULE

BLUESKIN WARD

ALL that area in the Otago Land District, Waikouaiti County,
City of Dunedin, and Borough of Port Chalmers, containing
23 050 hectares, more or less, bounded by a line commencing
at Trig. S, Swampy Spur, Block V, Dunedin and East Taieri
Survey District, and proceeding north-easterly along the north-
western boundaries of Part Lot C and Lots B and A, D.P.
1299, Sections 15, Part 24, Part 26, 27, and 28, Block III,
North Harbour and Blueskin Survey District, and the produc-
tion of the last-mentioned boundary to the south-western
boundary of Block II; thence north-westerly and north-easterly
along the south-western and north-western boundaries of
Block II, aforesaid, to the southern boundary of Block I,
Waikouaiti Survey District; thence westerly and northerly
along the southern and western boundaries of Block I, afore-
said, to the southern boundary of Lot 5, D.P. 11332; thence
westerly along that southern boundary and its production
to the middle of the Waikouaiti River (South Branch);
thence generally north-easterly along the middle of that river
to a point in line with the right bank of the Waikouaiti
River (North Branch); thence generally easterly and south-
easterly to and along that bank of that river to the mean
high-water mark of the sea; thence generally southerly and
north-westerly along the generally eastern and south-western
boundary of the East Otago Pest Destruction District to the
point of commencement.
