His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to constitute and appoint:

The Right Honourable Sir Herbert Richard Churton Wild, K.C.M.G., E.D. and Bar, Chief Justice of New Zealand,

to be Deputy of the Governor-General commencing at 9.35 a.m. on the 19th day of October 1974 and during the period of the temporary absence of the Governor-General from the seat of Government and from New Zealand.

Dated at Wellington this 19th day of October 1974.
