Notice of Intention to Take Land
PUBLIC notice is hereby given that the Waipa County Council
proposes to execute a certain public work, to wit, the con-
struction of a public road for which purpose the land described
in the Schedule hereto requires to be taken by the Council
under the provisions of the Public Works Act 1928.
A plan of the land required to be taken as aforesaid lies
open to public inspection at the Office of the Council in
Carlton Street, Te Awamutu.
Every person directly affected is hereby called upon to set
forth in writing any objection he may wish to make to the
execution of such work or to the taking of such land, not
being an objection to the amount or payment of compensa-
tion, and to send such written objection to the Town and
Country Planning Appeal Board, Wellington, within 40 days
from the first publication of this notice. A public hearing of
the objection will be held unless the objector otherwise requires
and each objector will be advised of the time and place of the
hearing.

NOTICE OF APPROVAL OF SCHEME
NOTICE is hereby given pursuant to section 54 of the Charitable
Trusts Act 1957, the Supreme Court at Christchurch has this
day approved the adding of the following additional charitable
purpose to the present purpose for which the assets belonging
to the Rhodes Memorial Convalescent Home Incorporated are
held:
Upon Trust to occupy and use the said land, premises, and
assets for the purpose of provision of residential facilities for
elderly persons.

WAIITEMATA CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL ORDER—CONSOLIDATED SPECIAL RATE
IN exercise of the powers conferred upon it by section 108A of the
Municipal Corporations Act 1954, the Waitemata City Council
doth hereby by Special Order resolve that instead of levying the
special rates specified in the attached Schedule, to make a rate on a
uniform basis (hereinafter referred to as a consolidated special rate)
over the whole of the City of Waitemata on all rateable property
within the said city of 0.7552 cents in the dollar on land value and
that this consolidated special rate shall be an annually recurring
rate and may be levied in whole or in part year by year without
further proceedings by the council.
