Port Conciliation Committee for the Port of Whangarei Appointed

Representative of the Employees of the Lyttelton Harbour Board Appointed to the Lyttelton Harbour Board Appeal Board
Pursuant to section 45 (2) of the Harbours Act 1950, His Excellency the Governor-General has been pleased to appoint Gordon Gilmore Walker to be a member of the Appeal Board set up in connection with appeals by Alan Shapcott and Brian Alister Flanagan against the decision of the Lyttelton Harbour Board in appointing David Kingbury to the position of Audit Officer.

Pursuant to the Harbours Act 1950, I, Peter Edward Muers, of the Ministry of Transport, in exercise of powers delegated by the Minister of Transport hereby appoint William Henry Millward to be acting harbourmaster for the port of Westport for such nominated periods as the duly appointed harbourmaster may be absent from the port of Westport.

Revocation of Appointment of Honorary Social Worker Under the Department of Social Welfare Act 1971
Pursuant to section 9 of the Department of Social Welfare Act 1971, the Director-General of Social Welfare hereby revokes the appointment of Noonan, Reverend Father John, Chatham Islands as an honorary social worker for the purposes of the said Act.

Appointment of Examiners Under the Shipping and Seamen Act 1952
Pursuant to a delegation from the Minister of Transport under the Ministry of Transport Act 1968, Edward Alison McKenzie is hereby appointed to be an examiner for the purpose of granting:
(a) Certificates of competency as master of restricted-limit launch;
(b) Local Launchmen's Licences;
(c) Certificates of competency as inshore fishing skipper;
(d) Certificates of competency as second-class diesel trawler engineer; and
(e) Certificates of competency as engineer of restricted-limit motor ship,
in terms of section 20 of the Shipping and Seamen Act 1952 with effect from the date hereof.
